Remember, many people did not see the "it" factor in Eli. Even after he won MVP in the Super Bowl. (I'm not one of those people, but they are still out there).
I think that Romo could find his "it". He has potential. But he's got to play better in the clutch.
I always felt that Phil Simms had the "it" factor. Many will disagree because his numbers were not that special, plus he had those happy feet when running. But he made things happen when they were needed most. He stood in there and took his lumps just to get the passes away. His numbers may also have been much better if he was in a different system. I was glad we had him instead.

I saw part of the "it factor" early on in Eli's career when he consistently brought the team back down late in the 4th in the hurry up offense either for the needed field goal or touchdown. It reminded me of John Elway out there and I thought to myself "this guy can be something special". What has sealed the deal for me with Eli is that I thought this offense couldn't be as productive without Plaxico, even though the redzone offense has suffered without him, overall Eli has done an amazing job this year. Very impressed with how he has played.

I agreed with Phil Simms when he said the "it" factor is just talent. We've all played sports and you know when you meet someone with extraordinary talent combined with great discipline you get a superstar.

Romo has the talent he just needs to gain the discipline. It's hard to watch him as he's cost us 2 games this year, but he played great against the Panthers and Bucs. I know his stats weren't impressive in the Panthers game, but he protected the football very well. Turnovers are what kills games. Last year we were first in turnovers. If you take away the turnovers even half of them we are a top 5 team. Romo doesn't need to make plays every week. A great QB knows when to lean on his teammates.

Of the QBs I've watched.
Peyton, Eli, Big Ben, Kyle Orton(great game manager right now), Cutler, Rivers have all been impressive.

I've not watched Brees.

I think the most underrated guy may be Orton. He strikes me as simply intelligent this year.

Big Ben is the best QB I've watched outside of Peyton this year. I know that sounds crazy, but his throws have been lasers. Give him more throws and he puts up insane numbers.

Sorry- gotta violently disagree with you on this one. Orton has been a huge beneficiary of a) luck and b) "terrible play by opposition defense" so far this year. Case in point:

Week 1- Orton won the game after the second to last ball he threw just missed being intercepted (defenders 2nd foot was barely out of bounds), and after his last throw was perfectly defensed by the secondary but just happen to bounce directly to Brandon Stokeley... it should be noted that none of the Bengals actually chased Stokeley down the field.

Week 4- Orton's pass to Marshall was thrown into coverage and should have been knocked down by Terrence Newman, after which the Cowboys defense was a comedy of errors in trying to tackle the receiver.

I won't argue that you have to get lucky to win in the NFL, but let's not confuse luck with playing intelligently. It also helps when your first 4 games include games against Oakland and Cleveland.

Not to fault the Broncos for their schedule, you still have to win the games, but 7 of the next 9 games are against San Diego (twice), the Ravens, the Steelers, the Pats, the Giants, and the Colts. I think we will truly see how good the Broncos are after that stretch. If you look at the schedule, only 4 of the remaining 12 games look like wins- KC (twice), Washington, and Oakland.

Basically Denver is gonna start to play "Football" now, against some tougher opponents so we can check the record again in about four weeks, 4-4 or 5-3 at best.But hey if they can roll on with a winning record straight on thru more power to em, I never was a hater for the Broncs as long as I see the Orton we are all used to when they visit philly,

Kyle Orton is NOT an elite quarterback. The only reason they are 4-0 is because their defense has played outstanding. Orton has played safe, which is also confused with smart. I believe I read the Bronocs defense has allowed the least amount of points in the first 4 games as well. You also have to realize they have barely put up any points on offense against average to below average football teams, the defense has kept them in all the games. They also have gotten lucky to win a few games, nothing wrong with that but lets see how they do against elite teams and over the stretch of the year. Remember Buffalo started 4-0 last year, how did that work out?

Speaking of Buffalo I just love listening to WGR after a Bills loss..... AAMOF somebody pointed out that Trent Edwards best game as a PRO was his first start against the JETS. The only other start which would compare was when they beat the Bolts last year to go 5-1 after the 4-0 start.

He's not punching people out but he's not choking away victories either.
FYI the Bengals and Cowboys are both quality wins this year. So both of those wins are impressive. I don't see them winning a super bowl, but give the guy a little credit. 4-0 is a result of smarter football than 2-2.

While the ultimate goal is the Ring, I do love the way the Eagles have man handled the Giants as of late.

I'd rather lose the next 50 games against the Eagles and win a Super Bowl than go 0-50 and never win one.

Btw- over our last 12 games (including playoffs) we are 6-6 against each other. Not what I would call manhandled...
