Braylon Edwards now a Jet, Sanchez has another target and just might make a great combination.

It could be a great deal if these two things happen:

1) Braylon gets his off the field problems under control. He's currently being (publicly) investigated by the league for violating the conduct policy. He's caused a lot of problems over his 3+ years in Cleveland....

2) He solves his "dropsies" problems. Somebody posted a stat on ESPN saying that Edwards has had the most drops based on "on target passes" between last year and this year. He dropped 16 passes in 2008 against 55 receptions, a horrible ratio.

I wonder if LeBron had anything to do with this...lol. I guess now LeBron will stay put since Edwards is now in NY....:D. All joking aside Edwards IMO is overrated as a receiver. He drops way to many passes to be considered a true #1 as was mentioned in the above post.

Damn I type to slow....

What did the Jets trade away to get him? This will dictate if it is a good trade or not.

Chansi Stuckey (the current #2 WR), Jason Trunsick (a ST guy), and 2 draft picks. No word yet on which picks.

So they traded stuckey who is becoming a solid 2nd or 3rd, a young linebacker I never heard of and two picks (undisclosed), at worst the Browns get depth. As it stands right now the Jets got a cancer that is underperforming on the field who can also be possibly suspended. I like this trade for the Browns.

I don't get this trade for the Jets because they are all about "team" and buying into their head coaches philosphy. Edwards is not that guy but players can change in a different environment so anything is possible.

If I was a Jets fan I wouldn't be making any claims such as "we just sealed the division" or "this makes us superbowl contenders".

oh and BTW...Michael Crabtree signed

Wow I'm glad he has great potential and with Singletary coaching him up I think he may find that potential.

Winning cures everything. And the Jets win more than the Browns. :)

He can still be a distraction if they win. What if in the NFL's investigation, they suspend him? How will he react to Ryans coaching philosphy - very much the opposite of Romeo Crowell and Mangini's style. The worst thing for the Jets right now is a possible distraction in my opinion. If he lights it up in NY, thats great but I wouldn't take that risk right now especially with how the team has been playing.

The Jets gave up to many young players for this guy with the draft picks in all.

I tend to agree. I think he needs some intervention to get his act together. He needs some serious perspective adjustment too.

Still if he turns things around he could be the last piece to a great offense in NY. I personally like a team without the distractions, but they can cut him if he becomes a pain.

Ryan is a perfect fit...afterall didn't have a guys named Ray and Jamal on his former team. He apparently interacts well with misfits!

I love Ray Lewis as a football player, one of the greatest linebackers and passionate leaders ever to grace the field. This is a player I would die to have on the field and have his locker room presence. He would be the guy that would call out players like Braylon Edwards.

I loved what he had to say in the locker room after the Patriots game. This guy truly loves football, I can't speak for his off the field behaviour however.

He shouldn't be playing IMO. But I will commend him for taking his second chance seriously. He's one of the best LBs I've ever watched.

Amazing week for great games. Everything changes each week in the league. If Denver wins it makes Monday night a huge game.
