Correct me if Im wrong, but it seems that link is not working right...That's fantastic! Thanks for the news. I am going to cancel my order from HMV.jp, because I would rather order it domestically. Yes, it's slightly more expensive that way, but I'm fine with that.
Mike
Edit: took me forever to find, but here it is with no picture yet:

Warp, looks like your best bet is HMV.jp which is the cheapest too. Just go to there site and type in Genesis, and scroll down to find the box set. It is NTSC as well.Correct me if Im wrong, but it seems that link is not working right...
I would like info about buying also...
Warp
Yeah, Mike, but according to some poster at AVSFORUM :Warp, looks like your best bet is HMV.jp which is the cheapest too. Just go to there site and type in Genesis, and scroll down to find the box set. It is NTSC as well.
yes, my understanding is HMV.jp has sold out already! I am hearing that sales are well so far for the box set, which is good. I'm not sure I understand the release date change either.Yeah, Mike, but according to some poster at AVSFORUM :
- they don't accept orders anymore![]()
- the release date has been shifted to April 17th![]()
On a lighter note - did you see this:

The link to this exciting animation was posted today on the offical Genesis site.
"... 48 page case-bound book with newly written essays ..." - somebody pinch me or I'm dreaming![]()
Yes not bad at all - $29.99 for an SACD/DVD 2 disc album. Carefull about the package of 5 in a set for $129 or whatever it was - this is not the boxset, but just a deal on the 5 albums.this site looks like it has good deals on Genesis SACD's for USA:

Mike - I don't believe it ! After all that fuzz you betrayed us, the faithful HMV followers? You guys aren't going to believe I decided to cancel my order after all, and I went and cauphed up $200 for the PAL version (still fine on my player), but I bought it from Steve Hackett's site and he is going to autograph it for me!![]()
To me, worth it.
Would you mind sharing this info with a fellow G-holic - how did you come into possesion of such a treasure ? If you don't want to post it in public, you can always PM meOn that note, I have a press dvd that are very few in circulation that has 10 tracks mixed in 5.1 (DTS). DODO/Lurder from the album Abacab, is freakin stunning the mix is so good
You assumed correctly! 3910 is good to go. Also, from what I have read, the DVD's, whether NTSC or PAL, are Region code zero.Mike - I don't believe it ! After all that fuzz you betrayed us, the faithful HMV followers?![]()
Anyway, PAL is a better choice (in terms of PQ), assuming you "modified" your D-3910 to region-free mode (as I did) - cause these PAL disks are made with region 2 code.
Yes I know, a little nutty to go with the Hackett route, but what the heck! I will only be missing Gabriel's autograph now from the classic five lineup. Is it worthy $95 extra for Steve H. autograph ? Possibly, although I hope that Steve will pay the same honors to me (sign CDs/SACDs/DVDs), after one of his future US concerts (as he always does).Would you mind sharing this info with a fellow G-holic - how did you come into possesion of such a treasure ? Okay, not sure what you mean by 'pushed forward', please explain. Phil's vocals come directly from the center channel. Remember, as of right now, I can only reference the promo dvd yet as I have not got my box set yet. When there are effects on his voice like in the song Dodo/Lurker (which by the way is stunning), it seems the vocals splash out into the right and left channels too. Time will tell as we get our grubby hands on these albums. Thanks, Mike, for your honest reply !![]()
As for the surround tracks I have a question:
- how much are the surrounds "pushed forward", and where does Phil's voice come from?'

And now, from our studio, comes BREAKING NEWS OF THE DAY !
Hey, I'm trying to hide my excitement, but it's really difficult, man.![]()

As per this Forum thread on G-site (check the link below) some guys in Ireland, Holland and ...? had already purchased this combo and are putting pictures and reviews here:

They look stunning (w/original label's artwork), and - supposedly - sound even better!
That thread made my weekend super-enjoyable, although NOW anticipation is really killing me![]()
There would be meThere are folks from other forums suggesting already that these SACD's may be highly talked about in upcoming audiophile mag's
