    Vision vs. Audio

That is hardly a reasonable comparison, since it is not widescreen. To show a movie the same size as on a 36" widescreen, a 4:3 TV would hve to be 40", something that does not exist in a tube.

    Vision vs. Audio

Since when? Show me any 36" tv, and I will show you a 20" that costs a lot less (in most cases from the same manufacturer.)

    Should I Bi-amp or Bi-wire?

As in the bait question that the OP asked and the bait statement that you made?

    Should I Bi-amp or Bi-wire?

Biwiring has no audible effect whatsoever. As in zip, nada. Biamping can have some slight benefit in some situations.

    Bi-amped my speakers, and wow!

I might have expected a slight but audible difference. I would definitely not have expected a difference worthy of a "wow", though.

Solid 42" Plasma for less than $1,000

I read the other day that the return rate for flat panels generally is around 2%-3%, as compared to 18% for RPTVs. Apparently, they are all pretty reliable.

    Vision vs. Audio

I partially agree, except that 20" is just too small. Make a 32" and I'm for it. I used a 2-channel system for movies for years before getting my first surround system, and it was more than adequate.

    Oldies Integrated Amps

The Azur 340A (and the matching Azur 340C.:))

    Component stacking:heat issues?

As it turns out, I bought both a new CD player and a new integrated amp. As they are the same size, I was able to put the amp on top. This eliminates the heat issue and adds stability to the CDP in the bargain.

    Oldies Integrated Amps

I just gave away an old Carver integrated. The new Cambridge Audio integrated I replaced it with sounds vastly better. Lower distortion, more detail, better imaging, better bass control, and lower noise floor.

    Democrat Superdelegate Dilemma

I have never really thought about it in those terms, but I think you are onto something here. Either side can go to extremes, but checks and balances keep things rational.

Klipsh: pronounced highs or bass heavy?

I agree with your friend on both counts. I had some Klipsch Reference bookshelves. The bass was awesome for the size, but I had to give them up because the brightness was more than I could stand.

Jamo OR Yamaha tower speaker suggestions needed...

I am experiencing some cognitive dissonance here, as a result of seeing Jamo and Yamaha speakers mentioned together as if they were comparable. Jamo speakers are vastly better.

Nah, I have only spent around $1500 in the last couple of months.:D

    Democrat Superdelegate Dilemma

I seriously considered becoming a Canadian citizen when Dubya was reelected. I don't care which Democrat wins, but I don't think we can take another four years of a Republican president.

The S30 bookshelves are on their way, along with some really sweet looking stands. Multiple 5-star reviews. I am certain that they will be an enjoyable listen. Whether or not they can replace my Mirage towers remains to be seen (if not, I will hang on to them for those times when I want to hear...

I have been wishing for a matching pair oc Cambridge Audio Azur components for some time now, so I bought them. Tomorrow, I buy the matching bookshelf speakers.

I need to visit Wendy's and try one. Sounds good.

    How many remotes?

One remote for the stereo. Three for the HT, but it is only the one for the DVD player that I actually use 99.9% of the time.

    One brand system

I got them last night, and I needn't have worried. The sound is simply amazing. My immediate impression was of Koko the gorilla with his pet kitten: brute force under absolute control. Detail, soundstage, and bass tightness are all present and accounted for. Build quality is first rate (I have...
