Trump says that Canada should join the US and become the 51 state of the US. That will NEVER happen because Canada doesnt want the poison that Trump is turning the US into.
Trump did try to buy Greenland in 2019, but that didn't go so well.

Now he wants to go after Cheney. I hope for the sake of law it's legit, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's narrative.

He's conducting lawfare against people he perceives to be his enemies. It's gonna be like all the court challenges against the 2020 election results. They have no plausible legal grounds. The difference here is that the outcomes don't matter - the point is to torture his victims.

Trump's going to create Civil War. All he does is divide people and bring out the extremists and radicals. Wait until you see what's going to happen the next 4 years. Robert Kennedy Jr is another very sick person, as well. He wants to lock up people who use drugs? That's called genocide and tyranny. He must be using mind-altering substances himself...

While I agree that the overwhelming majority of Canadians do not wish to become Americans, it isn't just about Trump. Most of us are content to just be Canadians and see no need to acquire new passports.
Luckily it looks like Trudeau will resign soon. He’s a clown and I don’t think you guys could do worse if you tried

While I'm not a Trudeau fan, he's Lincoln, FDR and Churchill rolled into one compared with #47. I'll give him credit for his performance getting us through the pandemic and a few other policies, but he has a habit of committing needless gaffs. As for resigning, I don't know...he's pretty stubborn. He may try to ride it out.

If he doesn't resign, the NDP have stated they will join the Conservatives in a no confidence vote, which would defeat the government and trigger an election that the Liberals are almost guaranteed to lose. If he does resign, it'll trigger a Liberal party leadership campaign and the NDP may prop them up until an election is required in the Fall.

I expect that if/when the Conservatives are elected, Poilievre will provide an amply supply of "hold my beer" examples of beclowning himself.

Seriously, I have no life.
Overheard in a parking lot -

Person 1 - The fact that Trump won convincingly proves Biden stole the election last time.
Person 2 - That's exactly why he should be eligible for two consecutive terms this time. The Supreme Court should rule that way.
Skool- it's not for everyone.

Who's to blame for this, if ALL Polio cases are outside of the Western Hemisphere? Someone needs to shove this in his face- it contains "The U.S. recorded its last case of polio in 1979, among isolated Amish communities in several states. Then the effort to eradicate polio globally began in earnest. The Western Hemisphere reported its last case, in Peru, in 1991."

Of course, people from outside the western hemisphere never travel to the western hemisphere, so why would we need polio vaccinations, right?

OK, but they haven't stopped traveling to those places and the Western hemisphere still hasn't had a case of polio since 1991, if that link is factual. But travel between far away places is one of the reasons the border needs to be more secure- immigrants weren't required to be tested for COVID AFAIK- if you can refute that, please do. We HAVE TO be able to stop diseases coming in- not necessarily the way they did it at Ellis Island (covered people with DDT), but I wonder if the first people to enter with COVID were symptomatic. OTOH, if they were in the early stages, they may have just said "It's a cold".

I'm not arguing against vaccines.

It's not just immigration. It's tourists, business people, diplomats, etc. And, it's travel in both directions. It's impossible to stop diseases from coming in. Under certain circumstances, such as a world-wide pandemic, it can be advisable to impose travel restrictions to reduce spread, but stopping it is impossible. That's why protecting populations by an approved vaccine - when one exists - is a no-brainer.

I agree to a point, however the majority of people illegal crossing aren't the same as those flying into to the US, were you have to disclose certain statuses.

Exactly, but when people in power have no brain, it's a bit of a struggle.
