Early results show the election to be a dead heat.

The hamlet of Dixville Notch show the presidential race to be a dead heat.

Three for Trump and three for Harris.

As a kid I remember the BBC News would always start on election day with the vote from Dixville Notch. That is just the sort of amusing lunacy to appeal to the British sense of humor.

I remember Alastair Cooke devoting the lion's share of one of his Letters from America to Dixville Notch.

I think the media is confused with it being a dead heat. I predict Harris 55% and Dumpy 45%.
Very optimistic, but I hope you’re right, though. The Democrats need to be in control of Congress as well for a number of election cycles. Given that the GOP might be able to cleanse itself of MAGA, Trumpism and authoritarianism/fascism.

Looking at the electoral map and it's a blanket of red. Even Wisconsin went to Trump.

To the few here that though I and others were dirty rotten political party traitors for pointing out that Biden was suffering from obvious mental decline and the subsequent coverup lasting to the point of the first debate and the switching of horses...

You now know why I and others @TLS Guy was voicing concern years ago. This Schadenfreude has a cost and I believe this partly contributed to he re-election.

The problem is that we have replaced one demented President with another. Trump clearly has frontotemporal dementia. It is classic. I fear we are in deep trouble.

My mother has FTD, Trump might be mentally slipping but that’s not it

Did you see the time Trump was speaking during this campaign and had a "freeze" on stage for like 15 minutes exactly like McConnel? I'd call that a sign of something wrong. In his victory speech, he seemed pretty subdued compared to his normal assmongering.

I'm surprised that WI went for Trump, but Harris only won 13 counties and that was only by about 30K votes. The chance of him (or any Republican) winning in Milwaukee or Dane Counties is nil.

Biden's mental decline was denied by so many I find it sad that they can't bring themselves to see problems in their own party & candidates- deny, deny, deny.

People need to be more objective, as I have posted many times. The country's needs shouldn't be identified or chosen by using feelings alone.

Looking at the numbers so far, Trump had 74.2 million votes in 2020 and this morning, not a final tally, is 71+/- million.
The electoral total this year is in the dumpster compared to 2020.

The Hitler Regime, here we come. Harris was to soft spoken and wanted to be Mrs, nice guy. In a high stakes ELECTION? It appears her advisors did not want to make it a big deal on immigration or inflation. Fight back with hard core messages and call Trump out? She was Mr. Nice Guy and did not work. On short order, I guess she was the best pick, per management.

Trumpy and Vance, look for executive hard core orders. Will he pull us out of Nato? Challege China and Russia? Defend Europe? Supply UK and Isreal? Climb in bed with North Korea. Abandon Japan, Tiawan, and the Philippines? Plan to stop inflation? SS at risk? Reduce Drug prices? What Else? lol

Looks like the DOJ is going to end the Federal charges against Trump and the NY case is supposed to be decided on Nov 12. Expect that to be postponed until the end of Trumps presidency with a strongly worded rebuke from the judge.
