Are These Finds Good Deals?

Seller says they sound their best biwired so they must be good!

I've never seen those before, but they do look very JBL. I wonder where they compare with the Northridge series?
I believe these were below the north ridge line as the north ridge is below the Studio series then you step up to the synthesis pro lines . These would have been somewhere in the entry level jbl lineup a full lineup with matching sub and I think a smaller tower and books to match .

Hey gang. My daughter has 2 receivers. A Marantz SR4023 and a Yamaha RX-396. No remote for the Marantz. She likes the tone controls on the Yamaha and it's easy to use. The KEFs I gave her sound pretty good with it. Is it worth getting a remote and using the Marantz for 2 channel music? How much should she ask for it to sell (just needs to be cleaned up)?

The store she worked at closed up and left all the sound equipment behind, so she got the Marantz, some sealed wall mount speakers and two small subs for free. Bringing the speakers home to check out.

Did you get the remote? I needed one for my Pioneer and found a copy for less than ten on ebay and works great.

Thanks.

As close as Chester is to Richmond, the fact that those haven't sold yet for only 100 is a red flag.

I think these were made with thinner mdf cabs too like I said Iam pretty sure these were entry level for that era .

Heh yeah those Spendor's look like something Jim Salk would make.

The only thing stopping me is not having anywhere to put them. These would have to compete for Top Dog with the T&A's. Right now everything I have has a place, and jumping back on the speaker carousel probably isn't a good idea.

Except Salk does much nicer seams...

How about these JBL ES80 towers for 50 bucks? I've never seen them before. They don't look top of the line, but appear to be 3 way (4 way?) speakers and price includes a receiver.

If the listing is right and they want $250 for the pair, I'd say no. They came out in 2007 for $599/pr from what the google says. Weren't rated all that high from what I could find.

For $50 they're a deal.

I'd take them in a second.

I have no clue how they may sound, foe $50, I'd find out. Then I'd likely list them on the local Facebook group as a give away.

Silly hobby, I admit.

I saw some others nearby and saw some reviews that didn't look great. But who knows, you might get $50 of fun out of them

Omg, you'd think I'd know better than just go by the title of the ad by now! You're right, he's asking $250 for the speakers and only $50 for just the receiver.

That's some booshit tho, putting $50 in the title then put the speakers in the first pic!

It worked though, you clicked and got interested. :)

Yeah, but then I need to read past the title and look in the descriptions before posting my finds here... he wants $250 for the speakers.

It did, but then immediately pissed me off when I realized the trickery. I'm half tempted to send him a douchey message to make up for his douchey clickbait, borderline false advertising!

I got disappointed for something like this a couple weeks back. Someone about a 4 hour drive away was selling 2 AMPs and a nice Klipsch THX Ultra 2 system that they had marked as $1,000. I was ready to head that way and was making plans :) Then he says, no the speakers are $8K. Just using the $1K as a placeholder. Kind of bummed me out.
