Nowadays people wants to be fairly represented and the current US Senate does not really cut it. Some are even advocating of splitting California into smaller states as to have more representation in the Senate, so USA is heading for interesting times in the coming decades.

The evidence argues against your assertion. The WH staff has been in turmoil since Trump was elected. He is apparently the epitome of a difficult manager to work for. (I never would or could.) The most likely reasons for the equity markets declines are Trump's clumsy handling of the trade war with China, Fed tightening (which is seen as slowing future growth),projections of a slowing economy in 2019 regardless of Fed moves, and a historically high S&P500 PE ratio that was probably not justified by future profitability.

It's their politics & policies that I don't agree with- sanctuary cities, etc. As I wrote, I like going there, but I wouldn't want to pay the cost to live there. Who said anything about changing them? I was referring to the wild difference between Democrat/Republican representation and how it doesn't come close to most of the country. I agree with the differences being an attraction but this thread isn't about sight-seeing.

No, but that's where we have been for the last several elections. Every time we have elections, half of the country doesn't get what it wants and lately, the reactions have become very bitter, rude, inflammatory and I think it's because of social media.

I would say that left leaning people are getting more of what they want no matter who's president.

I disagree with that. The Republicans have been on a 40 year crusade to discredit any media that dares to write a negative piece about conservatives or Republicans in general. That has caused people to doubt anything they read. Just like they are tearing down every institution right now, such as the FBI, and FED. They portray everyone is against them, they are constantly the victims. Just like the BS with the deep state. I mean what a crock.

The reason I mentioned social media is that people post a reaction to something that makes their hair ignite, without taking the time to really read it, then they light up the other person in a way they never would A) because they weren't raised to say things like those and B) were face to face. Then, there are the comments that are posted, just to piss someone off. It's making me want to stop using FB completely, but I have been in contact with people I haven't seen in decades, so I just don't read the political crap too often.

Yes- I think someone should plant an insider and find out who has the most influence and on whom.

They said Kennedy wouldn't be elected because he was Catholic and it seems that the Evangelicals still have more power, which is interesting because the Pilgrims left England to get away from the excesses and power wielded by the Roman Catholic Church.

It's not hate because the media told us too. That's BS. It's the coming down an escalator and imediately with that big mouth of his making sometime the scape goat for problems. It's the praising of Putin while tearing down the current president of the United States. It's the fight with a gold star family. It's the constant arrogance of telling everyone he went to the best schools, was the greatest student, and has the best apartment in NYC. It's the pushing away of allies while embracing dictators like Putin, Erdogan, and Kim. He fell in love with Kim remember that? Beautiful letters from Kim.
So to say it's the media's fault it's bullshit. It's all of his own doing, period. I left out about a million things. The tearing down of institutions that keep us a democracy, like the FBI, the meddling in the justice department, the out right disrespect of the attorney general that orange puss ball picked himself all because the he wouldn't protect him. Oh their is more! It's his own fault for being the wantabe dictator he craves to be.
