Something completely different: a high-sensitivity, high-output standmount monitor. Horn-loaded compression drivers. Pro-audio style, not a penny spent on fancy veneers. SVSound subs belong in dedicated home theaters, and the budget- and boutique-style speakers that SVSound have sold in the past don't fully address the needs of large spaces.

The most important feature to me in a sub woofer is the ability to play loud, clean and deep.

I have followed SVS since they 1st started making subs, I have come to expect first rate quality in their products, excellent customer support, and affordable prices...a great company. And that's what I tell my friends!

You know, I'm not an expert when it comes to the pariticulars. I do know that the speaker must look good...must continue to make that rosewood finish which is absolutly gorgeous. It must also have very detailed highs...I wouldn't mind seeing a horn loaded design. And dialog must be clear. As I age, my ears don't seem to be holding up their end of the bargin. I hate not being abe to understand what the characters are saying/singing. Bass...not so important, I know my PB-13U will handle that.

Quality subwoofers. I know SVS also makes speakers, but subwoofers is what I think of.

It would be a tower speaker with fairly decent extension that was also very linear across the frequency range. My ideal situation would be to have a speaker that is a very solid performer that also is affordable ($500-800). The term "premium" leads me to believe I won't be able to afford these speakers.

The closest thing I have in mind would be a JBL LSR 6332. I think dual 10s would be more aesthetically pleasing than a single 12.

My dream speaker would be one which is very sensitive, allows bi-amping, gold plated connectors, and attractive with real wood paneling. They should be heavy and well braced as well with floorstanders having built in spikes!
