Question 1:
Love to have:
Auto Room EQ
Dedicated LFE Input
Other -- Describe: Multiple curve memories (i.e., one for music, another for movies, or several for types of movies or music).

Like to have:
Graphical User Interface
Wireless Connectivity
Front Mounted Controls
iPhone/Android Remote App. (if you have multiple curve memories then this is a "love to have")

Okay to have as long as it doesn't drive the cost up:
XLR Connections
High Pass Filtered RCA Outputs
High Level/Speaker Level Inputs

Question 2:
Subwoofers, Subwoofers, and more Subwoofers!

Question 3:
Because it's from SVS I'd expect the main speakers to be full range. By this I mean built in subwoofers. I'd expect the center channel speaker to be it's own design, not just a main speaker flopped on it's side. How about a TV stand with a built in subwoofer and main channel speaker. Oh yeah, they can't vibrate the TV either. The surround speakers need to be small to fit in most peoples homes. I wouldn't mind if the surrounds were wireless and self amplified--but only if this does not compromise the sound. I'd also like to have several finishes available. And being from SVS, I expect the pricing to be value oriented. Okay get to work!

Question 1: what are the most important features to you in a subwoofer ?

1: Dedicated LFE input
2: front mounted controls
3: Auto room EQ

Question 2: what comes to mind when you hear the name SVS ?

1: highly reviewed and respected subwoofers.

Question 3: SVS is debuting a premium line of speakers this fall. Describe your dream speaker from SVS ?

Tower speakers with a 6.5" accurate and uncolored midrange driver, a folded ribbon tweeter, all closed off from the lower section with a 1" baffle. A 7.5" or 8" woofer near the bottom front that produces enough bass in music, say about 38 hertz, so as not to need the subwoofer, except for movies of course ! High sensitivity. Most of all, I am so tired of black or cherry finishes. What about a wood with high grain contrast finished off with a high gloss coating, with center and surrounds finished to match ! ! ! I have always wondered what a pair of towers in redwood with a high gloss finish would really look like ?

?#1, Dedicated LFE input

?#2, Kick @$$ subwoofers

?#3, Huge, bulky heavy speakers that sound awesome, just like the SVS subs. We don't see too many floor speakers with 10s, 12s, or even 15s in them any more.

A very cool idea would be a floor stander based on a PB 13 Ultra. It essentially has a PB 13 Ultra in the bottom of the cabinet, completely sealed off from the rest of the cabinet. Then the upper cabinet houses a 10" woofer, a mid and a tweeter. They weigh about 800 lbs each because they are built like PB 13 ultras from head to toe, and everything just works. You plug it in, hook up your speakers wires, and go. It has a flip switch to take signal from speaker level inputs already powering the rest of the speaker, or a LFE signal to feed the sub portion. This would make it just work for HT or Stereo applications.

[Is performance not a feature?]

Question 2:

Premium performance at good prices. With SVS' reputation, I know that any product I buy will be pretty much the best I can get at a given class and price point.

Question 3:

A line of HT-oriented speakers with excellent dynamics, clarity, and voice reproduction. There should be a premium bookshelf speaker and voice-matched bipole/dipole surrounds.

1. Graphical User Interface
Auto Room EQ
Dedicated LFE input

2. High quality subwoofers with outstanding performance at a reasonable
price like my current PB12-plus. Also, excellent customer service.

3. My dream speakers from SVS would be ones that sound as good as my
current Paradigm Ref. 20's and are value priced. They should also have a
quality finish.
