Really, it is gamers that are using the features first, but some of this could trickle down to certain video types.I'm trying to understand why the AVR market is just starting to cater to gamers. So it's that important to integrate AVR's for gamers.
I just googled gaming by 2023 it's expected to be over 90 billion in US dollars. So yeah AVR manufacturers want a piece of that pie for sure.Really, it is gamers that are using the features first, but some of this could trickle down to certain video types.
For me, if a game is only on a specific console or PC and I want to play it, I'll have whatever console or PC I need to play that game.
I''ve had a VRR monitor with my PC for a few years, and after having that I'm not going back to fixed frame rates again.
The Atmos sound is an afterthought for me on PC. I am curious to see what it does though.
Oh yeah. Some games now have bigger budgets that Hollywood movies. It's crazy how it used to be such a niche industry (well, PC gaming anyway) and now everyone and their mom has a gaming PC.I just googled gaming by 2023 it's expected to be over 90 billion in US dollars. You young guys are fortunate, back in the 80,s 90,s all we had was Atari before that pinball machines. Now it's all virtual, I just read a article where this young woman was playing online virtual game. She put up this bubble shield around her character so no one could get to her cause she was getting groped. Imagine that.Oh yeah. Some games now have bigger budgets that Hollywood movies. My mom has 2 that her and my dad play VR games on.
You were right! It was the TV. I disconnected the LG 55OLED C1 from mains for one minute and reconnected it. It works normal now.I suspect more your TV than the AVR at this point... We have both the RX-A8A with an AppleTV 4k as source, I don't have any issue with HDCP set to auto (everything set as default). Using Hdmi1 AVR output to the eArc HDMI TV Input. Switching my AppleTV on switch both AVR and TV On... Using them 16 hours a day for more than a month now without any issue. I don't say that your AVR isn't at fault, maybe something broke, but if it's not a failure, then I will try to check what happens between the AVR and the TV.... Maybe there is something to tweak in the TV hdcp settings ?
Would you please pick an avatar and stick with it for awhile...geeesh. Just when I feel like I know you, you go and change. You young guys are fortunate, back in the 80,s 90,s all we had was Atari before that pinball machines. I still can't get that dam app to work. For some reason it won't pair up with my cellphone. So I just use the AVR setup online.I am going to start programming those Yamaha SCENES. And then start using the SCENES with MusicCast app, instead of using the old AV Controller app.
Since Yamaha is doing away with the AV Controller app. Might as well get with the program.
Change is difficult.![]()
Funny you mentioned porn, I don't watch online porn, anymore. But that's how I met Red light Rida..Thank God you're not watch Porn Hub if that's how you decide avatars....![]()
My first system was an atari. My parents got it before I was born. They've been games as long as I've been alive. It depends on your video needs from game content and devices you have at home. What's better to use, PS5, XBox or PC for gaming.
Thanks, so PC is King when it comes to gaming. It depends on your video needs from game content and devices you have at home.
PC is the best in terms of quality and power of CPU and GPU. As PC components can be more powerful than consoles, it can provide the ultimate experience. Consoles are better for connectivity convenience and all-in-one package. Foe example, Flight Simulator is always going to run better on PC, even with ultimate settings, if you have enough powerful system.
Yes, I've just got to that stage too.I am going to start programming those Yamaha SCENES. And then start using the SCENES with MusicCast app, instead of using the old AV Controller app.
They certainly want a piece, but it's not going to happen without offering more diverse video ports at the back panel. Ever. For consoles, HDMI only is fine. Consoles do not offer any other interface anyway. For PC world, they will need to put more effort to evolve boards and offer DisplayPort too. See this post for what AVRs need to develop to be truly competitive in this market. #2,438I just googled gaming by 2023 it's expected to be over 90 billion in US dollars. Lockdowns have brought families together around games. My mom has 2 that her and my dad play VR games on.
