WiFi in your car anybody?

Still wouldn't matter much, still be out of range quickly and only recover if you go to a bigger metro area, which isn't always a destination.

If you drive into forested areas, that will also kill the signal quickly- trees contain water and that's dense enough to block RF easily. Add deep undulations in the terrain and the signal strength drops to zero.

Didn’t take very long at all to go through free trial data and am now on unlimited data plan for a few days now. Still working fine though it lost signal for a bit while in a particular National Forest the other day.

Got 3 GB wi-fi for free and then an additional monthly charge if I want to keep it with the new vehicle. I’ll pass after my kids use up the free gigs. I pay enough for my data plan as it is. I have an unlimited plan so I don’t need the separate wi-fi and I can stream my music through my iPhone with wireless Apple Car Play. It sounds excellent with the sound system. Sound systems in cars have come a long way since I put my Pioneer Supertuner in my 1st car To upgrade the basic AM/FM stock system.

Still using wifi service in car. My phone service does not feature unlimited Hotspot data for other connected devices so unlimited wifi in the car means not having to worry about any limits when using any wifi only devices.
