Why I am not getting the full UtraHD audio from AmazonMusic

Yeah, it is such a mess out there. When one is looking to try a streaming service, they need to first check out the service tiers and then look into the devices that can make use of them. There still isn't any one service or device to rule them all. Pick your poison.

So true plus you need a PHD to figure it out.

Did you solve the streaming issue to both receivers using HEOS? What is the model number of the second unit?

Also discovered today that my iPhone 12+ Apple Lossless & Dolby,Atmos & 192kz 24bit Co-Dacs only available if you are an Apple Music subscriber . I have about 20 thousands songs in my iTunes library& I can't take advantage of Apple Lossless unless I subscribe to Apple music. I am already paying for Amazon Music.

Any trial offer from phone purchase? There are so many free trials out there for various services. I think I’ve tried ‘em all. One just needs to remember to cancel before renewal of service. I know many hate streaming from a phone, but I swear the quality of Airplay 2 from ANY service is excellent. Deezer has the coolest app. Just try ‘em, ALL of ‘em!:p

Not for nothing but I can stream Amazon music thru the Heos app in 24/192.

Amazon Music doesn't let me access my playlist thru Heos, but it does stream all resolutions. This works on my SR6013, and my NR1200.

How does one go about listening to Amazon 3D Music on their "good" system?

As I read it, you need to listen from your Android phone or Echo Studio.

Anyone have any answers? Here is the vastness of the future, where we currently live, you can't pick up a phone or drive to a store to get what should be simple answers.

It's confusing for sure. "3D" and "Spatial Audio" are terms used for immersive music through headphones and some Smart Speakers. They can include tracks from Sony's Reality 360 Audio or Dolby Atmos. Sony's is two channel while Dolby Atmos tracks are multichannel and can be sent over HDMI from a device to an Atmos capable receiver/processor. Amazon does not currently support their 3D audio over HDMI from a streaming device. If somebody wants to enjoy Dolby Atmos Music streamed from a device over HDMI to their receiver/processor, there are just a few options. Apple Music, and Tidal are the only services currently supporting Dolby Atmos Music from various devices over HDMI.

Apple Music service Dolby Atmos tracks can be sent over HDMI from the Apple TV 4K Gen 1&2 to a capable receiver. Macs do not support Atmos over HDMI and while the tracks will come over in multichannel form, they will not contain Atmos metadata. Apple Music service Dolby Atmos tracks can only be sent to a receiver/processor from the Apple TV 4K.

Tidal service Dolby Atmos tracks can be sent over HDMI from various devices including the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K, Amazon Fire TV Gen 3, Amazon Fire TV Cube Gen 1&2, Apple TV 4K Gen 1&2, Nvidia Shield TV and TV Pro and some Phillips and Sony Android TVs. Seems silly for Amazon not to support Dolby Atmos Music from their own service over HDMI from their own devices. If anybody knows if anything has changed, do tell.

What about non-Atmos multi-channel hi-rez. Do any services like Qobuz offer this?

I understand a few were available from Qobuz if used with Audirvana or Roon but never looked into it much.

And with Roon you still need the proper end point. My Raspberry Pi does not handle multi-channel HiRez from Roon, but my old PS3 running Plex does. Go figure? I plan to get a more powerful Pi or NVidia Shield, but android does not play well with certain audio formats.
