Hello,
I recently had to replace my receiver and just purchased a Yamaha RX-A2A. I wanted to get some feedback on the speaker and other various settings. I know a lot depends on size of room etc.
I have a standard 5.1 setup. Basically use to watch TV and movies. Center speaker is a Definitive Technology ProCenter 1000. L/R Front speakers are Definitive Technology ProMonitor 1000. L/R Surround speakers are Definitive Technology ProMonitor 800. Subwoofer is a Klipsch (not sure model #, but 120V - 60Hz). Speakers are all wired into Receiver. All speakers are from 2017, with exception of Sub, pre-2017.
I ran YPAO once and then ran it again. The distance settings came back pretty accurate. I had to decrease the Sub distance some. Levels came back as following:
* Front L= +3.0db
* Front R= +3.5db
* Center= +3.5db
* Surround L=+5.0db
* Surround R= +4.5db
* Sub= -10.0db
Thoughts on levels?
Are there any other settings I need to worry about?
* Surround Decoder <Auto> / Center Image 0.3
* Dialogue Level >0 / DTS Dialogue Control =0
* Volume - Dynamic Range <Maximum> / Max Volume +16.5db
* Equalizer EQ Select <YPAO: Flat>
* Power Amp Assign <Basic>
* I also went into Scene Settings and some settings have <Enable> and others have <Disable> like Sound, Surround, Volume.
Thanks for any input.
