Cool I just bought my 1st LG TV to replace my parents old Vizio. I have a LG washing machine. Some of these companies make just about anything you can plug in. (Side note, I wonder if McIntosh would make a washing machine or fridge now that they’ve been bought). It’s the Nano cell 55 inch. Only 299 new at Best Buy, marked down from 699. It’s amazing how cheap big TVs are now. It’s not the best but it beats the 18 year old TV. Got an optical audio out to RCA plug converter to connect to my old Yamaha AVR.

Two items I have been looking forward to coming in the mail today. A still-sealed DeAgostino release of "Beatles for Sale' and a CD re-issue of Joey Molland of Badfinger's band "Natural Gas". Here is a write-up of it from the order site Collector's Choice Music:
"One of rock music's great lost 'what could've been' bands, Natural Gas was a supergroup consisting of guitarist/vocalist Joey Molland (Badfinger), drummer Jerry Shirley (Humble Pie), bassist/vocalist Mark Clarke (Colosseum, Billy Squier), and Pink Floyd sideman Peter Wood on keyboards. The members' diverse histories coalesced into a Badfinger-esque power pop sound, with the dual lead vocals of Molland and Clarke reminiscent of the much-loved harmony blend between Molland and Badfinger's Tommy Evans. With a Felix Pappalardi (Cream, Mountain)-produced 1976 debut album and an opening slot on that summer's hottest tour, Frampton Comes Alive (personally selected by Shirley's former Humble Pie bandmate, Peter Frampton), Natural Gas had all the raw ingredients for success. Yet poor management and intra-band squabbling ensured that it's debut album was a one-off - a story told in detail for the very first time in Ralph Chapman's 5500+ word liner notes essay which draws upon his newly conducted interviews with Shirley, Clarke, and Frampton, plus vintage quotes from Molland who sadly passed away in March 2025. Iconoclassic also adds two bonus pre-album demos and a previously unreleased 8-song live soundboard recording including a cover of The Beatles' "Birthday" performed in celebration of America's Bicentennial."

I went to see a legend of a Canadian rock band called Goddo

I bought an album while at that concert and had Goddo autograph it. I told Goddo that this is my first ever signed album because that's the way my life had rolled out. He said he was honored. I thanked him and thanked him for a great show.

@3db So Greg Godovitz revived the band again. Was Gino Scarpelli with them on guitar? I saw them in my 20's at Fryfogles in London. Small club and they brought a tractor trailer full of gear. Blew the doors off of the place and partly responsible for my hearing loss. I've only been to one show that was louder and that was Nazareth, also in a club setting. Gino was one of the nicest musician you could ever meet.

Icepower 1200AS2 power amplifier module. I have the Icepower 200ASC that was one of the products that helped give me confidence in class D. That, and to ignore much of the hoopla about what amounts to inaudible measurement values on so many products these days, at least to my ears. All I know is, the 200ASC has been very nice to listen to.

The Super Lintons finally arrived today after Fed Ex lost one of them. Really liking them thus far. This coming from someone that didn't care for the 85th as I found them too rolled off on the top end and a little muddy in the mids. These do neither of those things. Basically these sound like a good measuring, modern tower with retro aesthetics.

The best factory system I've had was Revel in the wife's Lincoln, it just had such a great sound and what seemed like limitless slam. Crazy how Ford uses 3 or 4 different brands for their infotainment systems over the last 10 years.

Hope you're enjoying the new vehicle, I'll have to go check it out.

Congratulations enjoy! I love the 19 speaker Lexicon system in my Genesis GV70. Subs under each front seat let’s me feel the rumble. It’s great how far car stereo has come from when I bought my first Pioneer Supertuner to upgrade the stock stereo in my first car. AM/FM and cassette. Now it’s streaming Qobuz using Apple Car Play.
