I've read a few reviews of electric lawnmowers. That is that one place of use that's a very good alternative. Battery powered would/is an good replacement of anything petroleum based. Batteries can be expensive, "extras" but well worth it. No gasoline to worry about, no oil to worry about. Now say if one has acres how feasible is it to go all electric. Unless one has more than two extra battery's fully charged ready to go.
Unfortunately internal combustion engines will have some advantages for a while; the battery manufacturers recommend storing them at a 50% charge level. which means that the have to be topped up for each use... the charge times seem to vary but a couple of hours is usually enough.
I fully expect to have to replace these batteries in 4 or 5 years.

Enjoy!

Replacement batteries are expensive. I've used an electric push mower..got about 20 minutes of use, smooth cut and no gasoline.

...expensive batteries; Yup! I use a number of 100 amp hour and 1 fifty amp hour LiFeP04 batteries for camping; they have come down in price but originally they were a around three hundred each.. I figure that if replacements are too excessive/unavailable I will simply re-build them.

Enjoy!

The advantage for electric for us up at my previous home (10 acres, you're not walking around with a mower to do that), not sure about where you are, but you can't use gas motor powered gear for yardwork in July & August due to extreme fire danger. $1k fine if caught, obviously much worse if you start a fire.

Picked up a pair of these, about 3 week's ago. Can't remember if I post these up on here. Anyways Polk ES20's bigger than I thought. I like them Sound pretty good, didn't pay a whole bunch of money didn't want to spend a whole bunch of money. Have a small living room now had to downsize.
