I've read a few reviews of electric lawnmowers. That is that one place of use that's a very good alternative. Battery powered would/is an good replacement of anything petroleum based. Batteries can be expensive, "extras" but well worth it. No gasoline to worry about, no oil to worry about. Now say if one has acres how feasible is it to go all electric. Unless one has more than two extra battery's fully charged ready to go.
Unfortunately internal combustion engines will have some advantages for a while; the battery manufacturers recommend storing them at a 50% charge level. which means that the have to be topped up for each use... the charge times seem to vary but a couple of hours is usually enough.
I fully expect to have to replace these batteries in 4 or 5 years.

Enjoy!

Replacement batteries are expensive. I've used an electric push mower..got about 20 minutes of use, smooth cut and no gasoline.

...expensive batteries; Yup! I use a number of 100 amp hour and 1 fifty amp hour LiFeP04 batteries for camping; they have come down in price but originally they were a around three hundred each.. I figure that if replacements are too excessive/unavailable I will simply re-build them.

Enjoy!

The advantage for electric for us up at my previous home (10 acres, you're not walking around with a mower to do that), not sure about where you are, but you can't use gas motor powered gear for yardwork in July & August due to extreme fire danger. $1k fine if caught, obviously much worse if you start a fire.

Picked up a pair of these, about 3 week's ago. Can't remember if I post these up on here. Anyways Polk ES20's bigger than I thought. I like them Sound pretty good, didn't pay a whole bunch of money didn't want to spend a whole bunch of money. Have a small living room now had to downsize.

My latest is a better seat for listening to music. I've been using a replica Eames Stressless chair for about 4 years. It was fine when I had Reference 1 Meta speakers on their bespoke stands. The tweeter on those was probably 32" to 34" off the floor, and in the chair my ears were about even. That resulted in a soundstage that seemed straight ahead.

Now with the floorstanding Blade 2 Meta, it seems the tweeters (the whole tweeter & midrange Uni-Q assembly, actually) is about 6" to 8" higher and the soundstage appears to be higher. Makes sense, right?

I ordered one of these chairs from my local dealer. It'll take about 7 to 10 business days to to arrive via freight, though I'm told that Row One sends it on a truck with 2 people who set it up for you. They may have to let me take it apart to get it past a narrow doorway, but I can handle it from there. I'll post pictures when it gets here and is installed. All I know is that I'm looking forward to sitting ON a chair rather than sinking deep into one.

It has everything from the looks of it. Very nice!!! Wait!! Where's the skimpily clad masseuse that comes with the chair?

When I was working as a Private Chef, the Miele canister vacs were the ones almost every household had, especially if there was staff to do the work. Consensus was there is nothing else that comes close!

If it wasn't for The Lady having a very negative opinion of canisters, I would love to have one. Instead, she bought a Shark which she doesn't care for, and wants a Dyson to replace it...
Dyson's are overpriced for what you get. I vacuumed the basement with the old Dyson and taped up handle and the new Shark that I got and the Shark pulled out a considerable amount of hair and dirt that the Dyson missed.

LOL...:D

It's very good quality and the massage feature is the one thing they don't seem to offer, though I wouldn't have wanted it anyhow. My wife does a good massage if that's what I want, and I can even get a no-strings-attached happy ending!

In all seriousness now, I should tell the story how I went to my dealer (Audio Video Therapy of Nashua NH) and actually paid him $3K for twin KEF KC92 subwoofers. When I got home I was having buyer's remorse so I called him to cancel and for 1/3rd less total expenditure I asked him to get me the chair. Just now I called him to make sure it's on order (it is) and told him to apply the $1000 toward a second JL Audio E-112 sub. Those are $2700 list and he gives me a huge discount so my additional spend is only $890. A few minutes later he called me back and said I'm getting another $150 off the freight for the chair, so my total outlay for the chair and 1 new JL Audio E-112 in gloss black is USD $3740.

Finally, I'll have dual subs and a comfy chair. No more big ticket items for quite some time now. :D

They have good suction but break far too easily. I had 2, both failed within a year and it was cheaper to buy a new one vs. repairing. I switched to a Shark and zero complaints.

We've got two vacuum cleaners, one for each of the two floors of our home that we occupy. Since we use the main floor more and my wife is the one who's home all day while I'm at work, she uses the Shark that we bought 4.5 years ago there. All hardwood floors, some with area rugs. Works great, but I'm glad I'm at work because it's crazy loud.

Upstairs is a made in USA Simplicity commercial vac. It's an upright, quiet yet VERY effective. That one is really only good for carpeted floors, and that's our two rooms upstairs.

Was checking on past concerts and I found this audience recording CD from Japan from the 1st time I saw Jeff Beck. The sound is OK but the memories are awesome. The Cage refers to the Curry Hicks Cage which was the old gym on the UMass campus which held occasional concerts including Santana the next year.

My Shark is loud too. The cat runs and hides before I even turn it on. I wanted something compact and light and that could be hung from a tool holder on the wall. I needed something that would not clog with hair, I have long hair, she has long hair and we previously had the dog (passed), now just one cat. Hair was an issue for many vacuums. The Shark does not care about hair at all. I do have to clean the hair out of it every few runs, but it has been doing well for about 4 yrs now.

I have such a good relationship with John Rein that when I need something I buy everything I possibly can from him. I hate to think how much I've spent there, but I still needed to feel that I couldn't have gotten a better deal elsewhere.
