Here's a good look at one of the SP Technologies waveguides. I happen to think this speaker looks pretty cool. (But then I like the looks of women with freckles, too. So what do I know?! ;))

I like a woman with freckles on the chest, very sexy.. :D

Just popped in and discovered the waveguide thread. You guys oughta visit diyaudio. There are a few threads over there on waveguides with tons of debate, measurements, etc

There's a guy who's kind of the waveguide guru over there - Dr. Earl Geddes. He's marketing his own waveguide kits sold from his website.

I'm not endorsing any of the above; just providing another forum to visit for info. on waveguides.
Interestingly, some of the waveguide chat over at diyaudio.com got pretty intense with respect to the endless objective vs subjective evaluation debate. Most over therer seem bend on relying on endless measurements. I asked about how they sound to the ear and was basically sluffed off.

Sorry about the absence of links. I'm a relative noobe poster here and got the link police on me...

Just an FYI for you all....... :D

I just re-read this thread for fun, and its funny how two more years (well, more like a year and a half or so) of research and experience can change your viewpoint. I'll be the first to admit I was foolish to question avaserfi and WmAx's citations of Toole and Olive's work. Since then I've read every white paper, blog and article I could find that they've written, not to mention I am currently reading Dr. Toole's "Sound Reproduction." I still don't think I'd have the guts to purchase a speaker without ever having heard it, but I agree with everything I formally didn't.

In short, I was wrong, have change my viewpoint, and can openly admit it to the masses. Toole and Floyd are geniuses, and I am thankful you guys gave me incentive to read the rest of their research (well, as much as I could acquire anyway).

So where can I get my hands on a speaker shuffler? :D:p

Oops...ah, waveguides...yeah, waveguides. :D
