Ukraine – Russia … not more of the last thread

According to an article I read the other day, Ukraine can only produce drones at about 50% of it's capacity due to limited funds. As I understand it, there have been issues freeing up the seized Russian foreign assets. Using these funds to produce drones would provide a measure of poetic justice, not to mention that drones are good bang for the buck (couldn't resist the pun).

It looks like Israel might have bombed a Russian air base in Syria. Someone definitely bombed the living [bleep] out of something (the video at the link is the main item of interest).

>>>It is being reported, but yet to be confirmed, that Israel struck Russian-controlled Hmeimim Air Base on the coast of west Syria in the vicinity of Jableh.

Geolocated footage confirmed the location, but Israel has yet to acknowledge the strikes. It appears some sort of munition facility was struck as evidenced by prolonged secondary explosions.

It is being rumored that Israel is clearing out a flight corridor to Iran, freeing it of any hostile air defense systems along the way. That speculation is also unconfirmed.<<<

Yay, but does Israel wanna get involved in Russia too? Incognito I suppose.

The brutal Russian invasion of Ukraine has put to light the requirements when countries are buying arms abroad are to follow, and that goes for certain components used in weapons as well.

Switzerland has blocked re-export of various Swiss produced weapons and munition for use in Ukraine, and that has led some EU countries to block Swiss companies to offer tenders in arms (weapons, vehicles, munition, etc) procurement. The Swiss article below writes about Germany that recently has done so. For some reason all EFTA countries are blocked by Germany.

There has been much irritation in EU over American restrictions as well and there is now a drive by some members to be much more self-reliant when producing arms, including avoiding using American components. France has done that, though, for some time, and is driving this. Americans are taking notice and are becoming "concerned".

Yesterday, I saw this photo of Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong-un, visiting from North Korea. I've got nothing good to say about either of them, so I'll say a few bad things instead.

I never knew that Putin was so diminutive. Kim looks like a giant in comparison. Both have Napoleon complexes.

Kim looks like he already ate much of North Korea's population. He would probably do the same to Putin, if challenged to a cannibalism contest.

I wonder if Kim is also sending a bunch of body bags with his soldiers.

The drone-on-drone attack videos coming out of Ukraine are somewhat interesting. This one has more detail than most I've seen.

Drone technology will undoubtedly evolve rapidly. I suspect it won't be long before these types of videos seem somewhat similar to old WWI dogfights to viewers.

Drone usage in Ukraine appears to be a big change in how wars are fought with drones literally used to hunt down individual soldiers. Armored vehicles have a hard time against relatively inexpensive drones close to the battlefield. Combine that with minefields and we have something similar to WWI trench warfare, as seen now in Ukraine.

Also from what I heard, putler is the most coward person you can come across !
Courage isn´t even in his vocabulary about himself

I came across info that may point to putler being possibly as short as 5 feet 2. As far as I know, Kim Un Jung has been known to add something to his shoes to make him look taller and larger. Maybe putler learnt from him too!

This is Kyiv, one major city in Europe, on last Friday night, when families gathered at home after a tough working week for some Friday fun. The ruzzian drone hit a high-rise residential house in the Obolon district, causing fire at three floors. In this area of the city, there is only residential buildings and some shops. A 15 year old girl was killed, and most likely several more fatalities; If this is not terrorism, Then I don´t know what it is....

North Korean troops troops are now in Russia in the Kursk region.

>>>North Korean soldiers assisting Moscow have been deployed to Kursk, the Russian region partly controlled by Ukrainian troops, NATO chief Mark Rutte said Monday.

His remarks, confirming earlier intelligence from Ukraine, mean that North Korean troops are now in — or ready for — combat with Ukraine’s army. Kyiv's military captured parts of Kursk in August during an operation that represented the first military offensive into Russia since World War II.

Pyongyang's battlefield assistance for Russian President Vladimir Putin has alarmed Western allies and Rutte pointed to the North Korean troop deployment as a "dangerous expansion" of the conflict.

"I can confirm that North Korean troops have been sent to Russia and that North Korean military units have been deployed to the Kursk region," Rutte told reporters, soon after a meeting with a senior official from South Korea's intelligence service. ...<<<

Hope they brought their own body bags with them.
Shows how little Pudgy cares about human life. The reports I have seen indicate that the NH soldiers have very little combat training and that's the reason they were sent- to get the experience he wants them to have. Not sure how much that will help if they're dead, but....
