The Speaker Company?

Being fair I can tell you that our P series speakers are made with the same componets (and factory) as the major brands, they are speced by a very reputable frim in the US and the P6 will sound every bit as good (maybe better) than a Polk R20 or anthing from say JBL at a $160-70 price point. There is no "magic" here, we're buying from the factory, we have almost no overhead and we have large company resources. We pass the savings along. Our first speakers are entry level speakers for sure but we're moving up the line very quickly in the coming months.

The 5.1 system sounds good and is comparable to systems from Logitech though honestly not at 1/2 the price. Only our traditional loudspeakers are sold at half of MAP of comparable speakers. I can't tell you the name of the factory since they make speakers for very large brands.

Hey we've got a 30 day return policy and you might not believe me but we will keep our word. I've been selling things online for 14 years and have a reputation to keep us as does our sponsor (who also has to stay unnamed)

Give us a try, my name and email is on the website, if you have a problem let me know.

Thanks to those in this group who've stuck up for the "new guy" cause this is not easy! But I'm having fun.
Hello Nick Valente,

Would you be interested in sending me a pair of bookshelf speakers to demo? I am having a GTG in a few weeks to audition a new bookshelf from another respected speaker company. I have done this in the past with several speaker companies AV123, SVS, HSU. If your interested in this please PM me for more details and information.

Well, people after breaking my head looking for more info. TSC is for real, and backed up by a very well known group. Funny, how they compare themselves to JBL, Infinity, and Polk, but not to BA; do the math.

This has been taken directly from Denon's website (http://www.usa.denon.com/ContactUs.asp):

D&M Service Repair
Attn: Denon Customer Service

The Speaker Company is located at

Mistery solved...TSC is either a division of D&M, or D&M is the big investor behind this company.

I still have to hear a bad brand/product from D&M, the most respected group in the industry.

Can these be a spin on Boston Acoustics????

Under these circumstances I wouldn't mind giving them a try.

Maybe that Marketing Manager will have the insight to offer up some speakers to reputable organizations for a proper review :cough:Audioholics:cough:

Look what someone else at another forum found...

http://www.internetfaxproviders.com/?page_id=2

Mr. Nick Valente, GM for The Speaker Company, is very well known in the internet industry, apparently very experienced with web sales and applications...D&M hired him to head a new business for them.

Nick, good move!!! Now, let's see how the product performs. I will start with that PC 5.1 system for $69.95. If any good I might move to an inexpensive 5.1 for my son's bedroom.

Are we back at this again? I thought I explained already -- performance/price factor. Ed and Epik have the big dogs beat.
O that's right. You've never owned either subwoofer, but your making statements about them. I forgot.

I never put a person down for what system he has, or doesn't have. But please don't talk about price, and performance if you've never even owned them.

To hopefully shed some light on this, I've decided to order a pair of TSC's P6-PR 6.5" inch 2-way bookshelf speakers. While I am not in the market for any speakers at the moment, at the very least, I can give them a good demo in my dedicated theater as well as our family room. Who knows, I may even have to keep them for a bedroom setup when all is said and done.

I will provide a detailed, informal review once I've had the opportunity to put them through their paces. Hopefully we'll see if TSC is capable of providing a quality product at an agressive price point, something several internet direct companies seem to be working hard at as of late and are showing improved success... -TD

I'm about to cry...This guy is willing to take a shot for all of us. How about if you start your chronicle with how easy was it to order online, and how long they took to ship out your order.

Sure! It took about 2-3 minutes to order from their online site and you can check on the status of your order directly from the site.

I'll keep you posted w/some real details later. When I get them in house, I'll take some pictures of the packaging and speakers themselves in as much detail as possible, then the important stuff afterwards.

Stay tuned! ;) -TD

I tried to order the same pr. but can't get the website to work for me. For the past two days I couldn't get their website to come up. Today, I got their site, but it says someone else has my e-mail address and to enter another. I have only one and it works everywhere else. Don't know what the problem is.

Has anyone else had this problem?

As to why I decided to order from them, I like it when the guy who runs the company takes time to answer questions on a site like this. Also, I needed a cheap pair of speakers for my woodshop, they don't have to be great speakers. I figured I could try these out. If they ended up being one of the ubiquitous "bang-for-the-buck" type speakers, that would be great.

Sorry for the web site problems but Network Soluditons (our domain name host) has screwed something up and they are trying to fix it now. It does not affect security of the site. It only affects certain parts of the country here and there. They tell us it should be fixed today. Again sorry for the problems. Maybe I should switch to a start up domain name host instead of these BIG guys. <G>

Well, I’ve got some good news and some bad news about The Speaker Company – mostly good.

As mentioned in an earlier post, I wasn’t able to get an order through the web-site. I called their customer service to make sure my order was cancelled. The only reason I cancelled the order was I’m fairly conservative about ordering over the internet. I didn’t want any foul-ups. Since my order was sitting in their check-out cart, but not submitted, it gave me pause and I wanted it erased. The customer service person, Mike, was very helpful and I got everything done quickly. So far, the bad news was their web-site needs a little tweaking, but that’s the only thing. Otherwise, it was a good experience. I may yet order the speakers.

On a very positive note, about an hour after my phone call with Mike, at The Speaker Company, Nick Valente called me to make sure everything was handled to my satisfaction. I assured him it had been. I then described the problems I had with the web-site. He was very interested because he wants to make sure any problems are addressed and corrected. He convinced me he would get this done.

More interesting was that we talked awhile about future products. I think they are serious about breaking into, and being competitive in, the speaker market and they will have higher end products in the near future.

All in all, it was a very positive experience. I would, and will, keep The Speaker Company in mind when buying.

After hearing what Nick noted earlier and the problems you had John, it sounds like that may be an identified issue that Network Solutions is working to resolve for them. I was able to get my order in w/out issue last night, so I'm sure this is only a temporary issue.

It is great to hear someone in Nick's position being so closely involved with an issue such as this, something not seen terribly often... -TD

Nick gave me a slightly, but still over my head, reason why I had trouble getting into their site. Not many, but some were not able to get their web-site. Most got through fine, but I was one of the few unlucky ones. I think they'll get it fixed soon, if it's not fixed already.

I like the way he's been open to the forum. It will do us all good.
