This is how I really see it man. Either go all the way or dont do it at all. Ofcourse I'm gonna have to stop eating out and cut down on some of my other habits, but hey I think its all gonna be worth it.
the problem is you are not getting your moneys worth, $3000 for tekton speakers is nuts, I am one of tekton advocates, I own a pair of lores and may some day get another... But I would NEVER spend more than $1000 on a pair of his speakers, I think you are going the wrong way, and you just keep going further and further into the abyss of uselessness....
You want a GREAT system for your money, then go with Ascend, Salk, Phils, ect, do NOT go to tekton for a $2K+ speaker!!!! Because if you get what you are thinking about with that amp and dac, you are going to be sick when you hear an actual audiophile system!!!! Its for your own good, but I am to the point where I no longer believe a word you say, you are just a troll looking to waste peoples time, read what it says under your name, anyone else would have stopped posting and moved on, there are a ton of audio site out there, but the truth is they will pull your card even faster than the guys here....
As for you "either go all the way or don't do it at all" with audiophile stuff, "all the way" is a ninety thousand dollars per speaker!!! You aren't even scratching the surface at $5K.... You need to go back and read the post I put in this thread about listening to systems, spend a little time going around to audio shops and play with what they have hooked up, sit there for an hour with your ipod and play the stuff you listen to... If that is not possible, then get a list of companies that do 30 day free trials, svs, ascend, hsu, ect and demo some stuff, for you to think you are getting a $8K system with what you listed you are out of your mind, you can get a really nice music system for that kind of money but you choose the most yuppy sh!t on planet? C'mon, if your not a troll looking for attention, then you are the most thick headed closed minded person I have ever came across, I just spent some time going through this thread and you completely ignore any good advice and barrel towards equipment no one here ever mentioned!!!! You don't eve aknowledge most of the posts from people that have already been through picking and demoing equipment...
You dont state a budget, you dont state what its going to be used for , we dont even know if you have power at your place of residence, seems to me all you have is a steam genny chugging away all night...
