How far is Rocky Mount from Charlotte? You should bring your sub over to my place so we can compare subs.... but that may be a bad idea since after hearing the Ultra, I may have to get one.

I believe Charlotte is about 3-4 hrs from here, so i need a good reason if I'm going to go.

Oh boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This thing is huge! I had to carry it by myself from the top of my driveway into the house. The shipping weight is 165lbs. I think I'm done for the night. I'll try to set it up tomorrow.

If I didn't have to get up early for work the next day and have a small child in bed, I think I would have made time to play with it. I will say it was a very long day. I'll definitely get a chance to set it up and play with it this weekend. I'll try to post an update later.

oh no, it's beautiful. but i've had quite a number of piano gloss subs already. and my end usage of the PB13's will be below a projector screen so PG is a no-no.

Oh!!! Hadn't thought of that. The finish matches the decor quite nicely. Had to get the wife approval ya know. Currently, I am using a 480p projector and screen, but will be adding a plasma soon. I'm trying to round out the audio first since it's more important to me. My DVD's look quite nice on the 480p projector (no virtical scaling). But I hadn't thought about the glare being an issue.

it will only glare if its in a direct path of the screen/plasma.

black felt paper kills all glare though.
