3 Little Feat bootleg CDs. Denver 1973, Boston 1975 and San Francisco 1976. Excellent live band.
I like some of his songs. "Father figure," and "One More Try." I recall the groans of disappointment when my girlfriends of the era discovered he was gay. Also George's breathier vocals are pretty great too. Regarding "Freedom," it just might be Wham's best one. George's vox are unstoppable. A generational talent IMO.
Wham's "Last Christmas" also.I like some of his songs. "Father figure," and "One More Try." I recall the groans of disappointment when my girlfriends of the era discovered he was gay.
Incredible vocal range and he could sing anything, really.
Brubeck’s Take 5 is sublime. Play it for people that aren’t familiar with Jazz and it always gets good reviews.Just dusted off my CD copy of Jazz at the Pawnshop. Great recording well loved by audiophiles but for my money the Dave Brubeck version of Take 5 blows this one away.
Agreed. The Pawnshop version is better sonically but can't touch the Brubeck version.Brubeck’s Take 5 is sublime. Play it for people that aren’t familiar with Jazz and it always gets good reviews.
Absolutely LOVE Strange Way.
We're all the "odd ones out" on any given day. There's just so many different choices to be into, that it's difficult to be into the same things as others unless going top 40 mainstream music.Looking at what everyone is listening to, I feel like I am very much the odd one out.
At work, I am playing some Phonk (chill electronic music, Skeler is a good go to for me).
At home, I've been reliving some UK Garage (DJ Luck & MC Neat, Artful Dodger, Dreem Teem).
Also been watching (and listening) in amazement the drumming of El Estepario Siberiano.
