IMO you have been personally antagonistic, and disrespectful of the opinions of others. It is appropriate that you omitted the traditional "H" in your "IMHO". I came here seeking information, and thankfully your obstreperous persona has been balanced by pleasant, patient, informative and positive posts by other forum members. I have
gained insight here, and appreciate those who provided it without being abrasive. Thanks, and keep the wax out of your ears, y'all!

Thank you, good post.
Yes am antagonistic to cable nonsense...just why did you post here anyways? Did you not familiarize youself with the subject here? Where else have you posted this for further review? There are many places catering to cable nonsense...where do you usually post?

Thank you for your advice, I will look into making some changes. This whole thread began because out of necessity I replaced a headphone cable...and a different material was used (solid silver). I thought is sounded noticeably better than the original...so down the rabbit hole re the interconnect question.

As I said, personally antagonistic, and disrespectful of others....fortunatly your offensive manner is not pervasive on the forum.

It's not personal...unless you have a personal stake in the nonsense. So what other forums/groups are you mining?

If it's not personal, of what relevance are my other interactions to you? I have no agenda, no stake in reinforcing belief in past purchases, and an open mind regarding new information as it comes to me.

Don't get to bothered with lovin', he's just an old curmudgeon. I actually agree with most of his offerings, you just have to realize that he wears blinders sometimes (even though he may be right !)

I AM AN OLD CURMUDGEON! I may agree with him on the interconnect issue, certainly re power conditioning.....will have to do my own test re the headphone silver vs copper. Yes, I know we try to fool ourselves and to support preconceptions.
Thank you for the good words.

Just curious why you find it necessary to spread your wire beliefs here particularly. You do not seem to have much of an open mind as you do to audiophilia....

Missed this....so you think your headphone cable "issue" is different from other interconnects? How so?

In the world it is only a perception or belief that we all hear the same , We do not. There are some Just as in Golf or Racing, even table tennis. The hand to eye acuity / reflexes, that intangible something that separates some from others or we would all be able to shoot -12 at the Masters like Speith. We all are subjected to different environments as we age, Loud environments produce hearing loss no matter how controlled the test . The brain only processes what it receives. Some posses the acuity in their hearing that someone with a hearing loss cannot conceive because they do not hear it, therefore the brain will not process it. Some have damaged their hearing and do not hear certain htz frequencies either high or low, but usually higher frequencies are lost first. On the other hand just as someone that is disabled learns to overcome their disabilities, so can someone with due diligence teach the brain appreciable differences in musical nuances, and melodic phrases. Therefore IMHO the brain / hearing is not a cut and dry test but something one learns to appreciate in the way that is within their individual ability to learn, discern and appreciate. So to me I can hear the difference between my cables from 15 years ago and now, trying to take in account the vast differences in the Pre/Amp / Receiver tech available today. Just Sayin
Not sayin much

To Big Jon D... Yes our hearing is different just like everyone's eye sight and rendition of color is different. However your analogy to your hearing accuity is that of a bat. Bloody unlikely. The science of signal propagation is very well understood and there is no "umeasured" aspect that affects what we hear. Engage yourself in some controlled blind listening tests where you are not aware of what cable is being used to see if you can tell a difference. Shy away from such controlled blind listening test puts you squarely into the realm of Alice in Wonderland subjectivity and not too believed.

Really , all this to you guys???? I joined this forum to try and see what's up with other Audiophiles,or Home Theater Guys. So Much sarcasm and indignation.Do not understand all this, I really do not. I thought this was going to be fun, not someplace to be reprimanded for thoughts or Ideas. Some of you people have a lot of posts, looks like you have been around for a while. Did that cause you to lose your objectivity, Make you all Judge and Jury? Do you guys not want new people? The thing that makes Forums great is learning how other people view things, not posts that admonish others. What is the point of listing your system for everyone unless someone replies personally asks you to share? I am not in a woodshed, I have an 7/4/2 object based, Dolby Atmos setup at home. enough said about that. A cassette player, for real, No 4K bluray player? Catch up before you criticize someone else for spelling or ideas different from yours.I'm just looking to post, and enjoy. If I Can't here always another forum.

You know nothing about me Oh close minded overlord, Ha Ha. You think you can throw descriptions or make comparisons of other people. My name is out there You don't even want anyone to know Who You Are???? This thread was about wiring, you do not have the right to ask anyone why they post here, Coexist, Everybody Is OK to post here as long as they don't get ugly. Who's close? I get it you may be proud of your stuff, relevance to wiring ???? We all work hard, and think about getting to the setup we really want to get to!! No Hating, no Imposing of Will. Just Sayin
