Thanks Greg. I believe Adam is correct, I think it's an air gap. You'll have to do a google search and see if you can buy one in the finish you want... Or.. If you want to take a risk first, since you are planning on replacing it, you want it to looked Brushed stainless, right? Take some really really fine sand paper and sand it at different angles until it looks brushed. Cheap and easy fix and will likely look good if done correctly.

If you are replacing it anyway, it's worth a shot!

I'll take some pics of the HT for you too. I finally mounted my plasma!!! Thanks to Monoprice I paid 1/3 the price of the same mount at Best Buy. I'll snap some pics in the next few days and upload them.

Thanks Gator.;)

It looks great, love the farm sinks. We ended up going with a SS to help tie back to the appliances.

Don't forget, you still owe pictures ofthe HT.

Hey, what are my choices on that valve thing going through the counter. The one I have is a cheap, plastic, fake chrome one.

Why wouldnt they put that dang air gap thing UNDER the sink? Does anybody really wanna look at that. (no offense to those that have em) I'm just curious. Does it have to be valve height to work? Doesnt make sense to me.. oh well...

Nevermind.. it looks like they are required by code in some areas.. Listed airgaps shall be installed with the flood level marking at or above the flood level of the sink or drainboard, whichever is higher. Whatever that means.. I dont get it. Guess I could have done some research before my previous post...

Everyone needs to post a picture of their sink.

Can I get rid of the air gap, and loop the drain hose up high? I think a matching soap dispenser would look better in that hole.

Pretty much sticking a fork in the kitchen remod; I love the way it turned out.

The appliances got here this morning. They had to cut out 3" of my cabinet for the microwave but they did a good job and didn't charge me.

Still a lot of finger prints on the appliances, I forgot to clean before a snapped the pictures. Also please excuse the chicken, I was starving.

A remod of the spare bathroom is what started this whole mess.

I hear the master bedroom and bath are next on her list.
