I am not usually impressed with appliances but I have to say, this GE Profile stuff is nice.

You can't hear the dishwasher unless you put your ear right up to it and it cleans like mad.

We also baked a few things in both ovens and they came out really nice. I guess convection is the way to bake.

The "speedcook" thing is cool too. I cooked a chicken in about half the time as normal and it was the juiciest I have tasted. Who would have thought about cooking with a halogen bulb?

Sorry to hear about your wife. I hope everything turns out OK. Let her know that her timing sucks, though.

Stand by Alex, Master bedroom remod is occuring this coming weekend. Nothing big, just paint and removing another one of those "contractor grade" mirrors like the last one you walked me through..I am sure this one will pull off even more drywall as it is twice the size of the other one. Can you remind me what I used for the patching stuff last time (the stuff that dries quickly)? I have already changed out the faucets

Last week we did all new window treatments in the kitchen and living room. I was like a pro with my stud finder, level and screwdriver.

I also got a new grill that turned out taking almost 6 hours to get home and unpacked. That was a nightmare.

USG EZ-Sand in 20, 45 or 90 minute set times from Home Depot. Right beside the mud. When you're done applying it wash your tools off immediately and don't dump globs of it into your sink. It will harden up underwater. Throw left overs in the trash and wash your tools. :)

I really wish you lived closer. I almost think that I should cut the mirror out and then cut the same size sheetrock out from my garage to replace it since it has the same texture. I could then add a new piece in the garage and do the spray texture; which would be better, since there is no way to do a perfect finish of the surface and it would be less important in the garage.

Since I consider us friends, I wouldn't pay you though so I guess it wouldn't be of much benefit for you to live near me.
