Looking to run a true 5HZ signal to my Sub woofers but think my anthem receiver will Bottle neck this.

When we say, "Human hearing is 20-20kHz" that's sort of a generality. An easy to remember shortcut.

Women differ from men.
Age causes a huge change, at least in that top value. [e.g. People past their 20's like no longer can hear 20kHz.] [psst: The good news is high frequency hearing loss usually is so gradual as your decades of life increase that you hardly notice this change unless you run tests where it gets exposed.]
Life long exposure to noise changes things too.

Also it's not that we "stop hearing", say outside "20Hz to 20kHz"; its more like the level we need starts to skyrocket beyond those easy-to-remember values:

Also it's not talked about much but my own private analysis found that not only are the extreme parts of the range more difficult to hear, they are also the least important parts to our hearing for determining if something is "off" musically.

Regarding levels necessary for infrasonic thresholds of human hearing detection, this graphic of many studies show they all agree that detecting sound at 10Hz and lower need a ton more SPL. . . [and these necessary levels aren't usually encoded in the movies and music we buy in the first place, not so much because they technically can't be but because doing so means compromising the signal-to-noise ratio [think: absence of background hiss] of the parts that more truly do matter to our appreciation of the music:

Have you ever discussed the testing frequency range with an audiologist? I did when I had my haering tested and one of my customers is an audiologist (I asked many questions about this). They tend to stop at KHz unless there's a specific reason to test at higher frequencies because 8KHz is about as high as they need to go- they exist to make sure people can hear speech, not music. Speech is about survival and the equal loudness curves reflect the sensitivity in the speech range. Our ear canals and pinnae are too small to allow hearing extremely low frequencies well and as I posted about bone conduction, we don't hear much below 150Hz with the external ear parts- it's our bodies that conduct to the auditory nerve.

NOBODY has perfect hearing and their ears/hearing isn't indestructible. EVERYONE has been exposed to sounds that were loud enough to cause permanent hearing damage unless they were cloistered in a very quiet place. You also mentioned ONLY higher frequencies when the midrange is more important in normal daily life.

Audiologists and the medical profession have produced a lot of info about hearing, hearing damage, the causes and the results, over close to 100 years. Some of it has been refined, but it was described well enough that nobody here is really qualified to argue against it.

But I guess you're special.
Why is this thread suddenly focused on my hearing, when you already stated nobody here is qualified to debate it? Calling me "special" for rejecting an armchair expert's assumptions is completely unnecessary. My last test showed a high-frequency drop in one ear; I never mentioned midrange hearing. Those were your words, so please stop putting them in my mouth. Moving forward, it is best we stick to the actual question asked in the original post, rather than letting this turn into a pointless chest-thumping contest.

This thread was started strictly to determine if my Anthem receiver has a bottleneck that limits frequencies below 15–20 Hz.
Do you know anyone who might have test equipment that can provide the noise and an audio frequency spectrum analyser? Those would allow comparing the incoming signal with the output from the Anthem- if the low frequencies go away, you'll have your answer and it won't be affected by the room or speakers.

If that were true then we wouldn't hear frequencies below150Hz when using in-ear canal IEMs, yet we do. I can hear such bass using my etymotic in-ear canal monitors just fine. [Not to me confused with junky products like "earbuds".]

It's hard to imagine such a tiny little diaphragm only a millimeter or so wide can produce this bass yet you can both hear it and measure it:

But what you haven't heard is that exact same system, playing that exact same music, at the exact same volume, from the exact same listening position, at the same sitting (so you are evaluating what you hear live rather than relying on your memory of what you heard on some prior occasion), with the infrasonic content played in isolation. THAT"S WHAT MY TEST TRACKS I POSTED IN THIS POST PROVIDES.
Listen to my tracks on that very system and you will quickly realize the infrasonic content contributes either very little or absolutely nothing you can detect by unaided ear nor body shaking alone.
Since we are talking about low frequencies on LFE tracks and such, I am wondering If you have any favorite or reccomended movies that hit the low frequencies? Just to clarify, I am not asking for 5 hZ content. lol

Judging by the conversation here, It sounds like some of these movies hit 15 hz, possibly 10 hz?

If that were true then we wouldn't hear frequencies below150Hz when using in-ear canal IEMs, yet we do,
They still transfer energy into our skull. Bones are an excellent medium for that- do you remember a product called 'Bone Fone'? It used bone conduction for the low end and it wasn't bad. Hold it in open air while it played and it sounded like absolute crap but around the shoulders and it was decent for its intended use.

I found this- your question reminded me that I saw Earthquake and Roller Coaster when they were released in the 1970s and the low end was very deep & strong. Not sure how they would sound through a modern home audio system, but they used the original Sensurround system. I was trying to find the low end response, but the second link shows that it used tones at 25Hz and 35Hz, intended to avoid distortion in the dialog using dedicated speakers for the low end. Under some circumstances, intermodulation could introduce sum & difference frequencies.

NOTE: be sure to watch in 1080P mode, ideally at YouTube directly in the settings panel (rather than embedded here). Anything less and they may be applying filters.

At this point, I do not know anyone with this kind of equipment. TBH I was hoping to run my tests the exact way you had described with REW and a UMIK-1 microphone. However the UMIK-1 microphone is technically only rated down to 20 hz as an other user had pointed out, so I am not sure if I can pick up a low frequency 5 or 10hz test tone. I am definitley going to try it though.
