Logitech dropping support for the older Harmony remotes

Seriously, I have no life.
Not changing anything soon. So, it may not be an issue for a good while yet. I'm just thinking, "If one of the components in my HT dies, I'll be looking for a new universal remote, as well."

It has been so long since I last programed it, I couldn't say.
Ideally, you could buy the same brand of component- the codes should be usable- I have posted the master code set from Denon and can provide it again, but only for comparison since your actual remote is being dropped, but the hex version is what Denon sent to me. I know AVR commands that are named the same across their line work for all models.

Obviously, availability of more recent remote models will make or break your situation.

I just checked and ebay has nine pages of various models.

On the phone with them now-

Ongoing support for database and repair of bad codes,
only HrmonyRemote V7 will end as of May 28, 2025 and suuport when using Macintosh computers. From now on, use MyHarmony software, downloadable by going to MyHarmony.com

The link shows all models that will remain operable.

So is the consensus for us that have backup units that we need to program them to our current equipment and then store them back in the closet in case the APP doesn't work anymore at some point? Or do we feel there will be enough warning that we don't need to bother right now.
Check my last post for this info. As long as MyHarmony software is supported, a compatible remote can be left unprogrammed until the time it's needed.

The HarmonyRemoteV7 software is more than 15 years old.

No, it's not that. I'm getting an account error that I don't get on my PC. Dumb, but it's a "me" issue honestly.
Does your phone save the password? Mine usually saves the previous one and since my computer is where I usually do the programming, of course I need to enter a passwork that I don't remember when I try to use my phone.

Dang I need to program my Yamaha avr if it’s still possible on my ultra one remote incase support is gone and my onkyo dies. It worked but I kept getting this message.

If you didn't sign out of the software the last time you used it, sign out, sign in and try it again. If it still doesn't work, do you have a different USB cable? If that doesn't work, I would call tech support between noon & 5PM.

It kept saying it didn’t work but i checked the remote and it added my Yamaha. Weird glitch ??
I noticed my smart tv doesn’t turn itself on anymore when I turn the roku on. Just because I switched hdmi cables ??

I have been told that once the update reaches about 90%± a few % , it's done.

Go into device mode and test the commands- if they work, do what you need to any activities needing the Yamaha- if they work, you should be good.

Did you change the TV's input when you changed the cable? Make sure anything that's involved in CEC is set to function CEC.

Manually turn on the TV, then shut the system off and try it again.

IT's saying that the account I'm trying to use isn't associated with my devices. On my PC that same account works just fine. It's not a password issue.

Well, this is the part of being a custom integrator that makes me hate HDMI- they add features and functions that don't always work, like CEC.

Why not go into the remote's setup and add power commands for the TV? Support for the older models doesn't end until the end of next month.

I’ve been using this remote lately for volume because my onkyo remote stopped working for that. It won’t turn my tv on for some reason I think it’s programmed for it but I can’t remember we’re I put the usb cab

I haven’t been using the ultimate one because it takes a while to power on and off but I might have to eventually.
the watch tv button doesn’t work.

You'll have to go into the programming software to find the problems- Watch TV needs to be assigned, just like the others.
