Klipsch iGroove HG iPod Speaker System Review

From across the store, in a sea of iPod speaker systems there was this curvy black beauty standing out like a diamond in the rough. Before I even heard it, I wanted one. But how would it sound? The release of iGroove HG follows a "quality first" philosophy. Klipsch didn't rush an iPod product to market, but instead took time to develop a quality digital music player-driven speaker system that would appeal to their fan base – a true two-way design utilizing woofers, crossovers and horn-loaded tweeters. The result is a slick little shelf system with the widest frequency response of any all-in-one system of its kind on the market today.

Glad Klispch is getting the recognition it deserves for portable audio.

Another good contender for excellent portable sound is the Altec Lansing IM7. Probably has better bass response than the Klipsch because the IM7 has a 4inch sub built in.

I guess I'll never understand the purpose of these "docking" sound systems? Just buy a 2.1 speaker setup for your computer and have much better sound.

Edit: Ok, I guess I understand why someone would have one for in the kitchen or bathroom.

I have one and I like it. I'm not sure it's worth $250, but I don't have a wife or family to tell me how to spend my money so who cares.

Matt34, the point of this system for me is portability and plug and play ease. I can hook this thing up anywhere that has a power outlet, and I don't have to mess with software or anything. Just plug it in and hit play - instant music.

Agreed. The point of this thing is that you can use it anywhere - it is very portable - no fuss. One power cord, thats it.
