i like to listen at moderate levels but not earth shattering but sometimes listening at low levels when playing something slower is good to. mainly i am looking for a sub to fill out the lowend and makes my whole system feel fuller and immersive if that makes sense!

If it were me I'd go with the Hsu....don't forget to add shipping in your comparison numbers from Rythmik (conditional) and Hsu (just simply excluded).

At the same time, keep in mind you are getting a lot more sub in the Hsu than you are in the other two options.

None of those would be my first or second choices. They're all compromised in performance for form factor. Of those 3, the ULS-15 for sure.

Yeah. Shipping with HSU is going to bump that up sigificantly. It's a lot more sub than the other 2 also tho and would still be my pick of those 3.

thanks Pogre. after agonizing over this for a couple of weeks now i was kinda leaning towward the HSU for the 15in woofer that should get me a deeper response.

only because music is all that i am really interested in.
This is a myth.
Really, truly and sincerely a dogmatic myth perpetrated by audio-fools that aren't willing to accept that things have changed between now and the 70s.
Image result for implied facepalm

I looked, it's only $89....and that seems lower than it used to be?

the ported sub is going to be a better decision for music over a sealed one or at least equal. i have talked to all three companies and all suggested the sealed models.

Then why did you list prices at all? :)

Sealed was my choice when I started DIY'g subs, not because it was better than ported, but because for me it was more manageable to build (being a rookie woodworker with modest facility/tools) and move them around too....so I went with several sealed altho my original thought was ported but the boxes for my drivers were more complex to build and a hell of a lot bigger/heavier. I do have plenty of room for the larger subs, too. YMMV.

i listed the prices of the sealed ones i were looking at because these were the ones i was considering the most.

I was just teasing due your remark about you don't care about shipping costs. :)

Speaking of which, with the SVS they offer basically a free in-home trial (with them paying shipping both ways). The others don't offer that. All are good subs but I tend to like a larger driver myself (mine are 18"), as they say there's no replacement for displacement :)

i stated that because i keep hearing that the sealed subs is your best option but then i keep hearing that a good ported one will be just as good....confused!
