Yep you can open the curtains enough to see daylight and won’t mess up the pic quality on a PJ.

It is plenty dark with the blinds closed....that is not the issue. The issue is that there will be times that the lights will be on fully. It is one large space with no place to randomly hang curtains.

Honestly, it really depends on what PJ you get as to whether it would work. Mine has a "sports" mode that doesn't look accurate as far as PQ goes, but it works just fine with the lights on. My PJ is old and there are MUCH better options for daytime type viewing that could work very well for you.

Or, get a big LCD/OLED and enjoy, but can't match the price/screen size of a PJ.
