ok im confused about one more thing.. is the vent cut completely open on the front wall? if you look at the picture yu mite understand what i mean.. but is the front wall cut completely up and down for both vents? or is there a half inch or inch lip on it? do you know what i mean guys? its hard to explain... ????

so basically...

01'1 I 1'10 with the I being the common wall.. and the 0s being subs n 1s being each wall of the vent im wondering if where the apostrophe is (the little mark between the 1s) if that needs to be cut all the way to the top piece of wood or if it comes down a little like the apostrophe does? the same with the bottom? if it does come down from the top n go up a little from the bottom inside the vents then let me know how to make it and the size please.. we never went over that..

please let me know asap i will be getting started tomorrow morning!

The vent opening is the same height as the internal enclosure wall, which is 18.5 inches. The vent length was the only item of concern but it sounds like you have addressed this.

As for the terminal cups, that is up to you. The sides make the most sense at this point. i personally never use terminal cups, but rather binding posts such as these here.

ok so that front wall for the vent opening will be cut completely up and down? so there will be 4 cuts down the middle of the front wall completely upside down right? i was goin to go wit the terminal cups on the side but i thought it mite block the vent becuz they will be indented in the box..

As long as the cups are 3" or more away from the internal vent opening you will be fine.

I am not sure what you mean by "completely upside down" but I think you understand what I mean.

As you can see here, you stated in your first post that you have a mono amplifier. A mono amp has one +, and one -.

The subs are only about 600w rms and i have a hifonics HFi1000 Hfi Series D-Class Mono Amplifier the specs are 1 x 475 @ 4 OHMS, 1 x 750 @ 2 OHMS, 1 x 1000 @ 1 OHM...

Wire the + from each woofer to the + of the amp. Wire the - from each woofer to the - of the amp. 2ohm.

ok im about to post the pix now. im trying to bring them from an sd card but cant locate it on my work computer.. so i did all that then. but i built everything and honestly there is not too much of a difference from the speakers i had in there before? i still have to tighten a few more screws but honestly i dont think this feels like its pumping out twice as many watts as it was before. and i can barely feel any air AT ALL coming out of the vents.. its a slight breeze actually.. barely anything.. around 2 or 230 chicago time im going to finish screwing everything together.. there is a few minor cracks in the top bcuz i dont want to glue that since i mite be taking it on and off to paint and such.. so there shows little openings in the wood but all i have to do is tighten them down.. barely any air is coming out of them.. i didnt tighten all the way but i dont think that would make that much of a difference i would think it would still pump out a good amount of air out the vents bcuz i felt around the box and there was only a little air coming out of the cracks.. so i dont know guys, what do you think? bcuz right now it doesnt seem lik it hits very much harder then those crappy duals i just sold for 120 yesterday..? but just let me know if there is anything i did wrong when i show you the pix..

yeah i knew that i was just wondering if the subs had to be connected inside the box. but i no they dont now.. i didnt know if it matterd which + and - to plug each speaker into... my amp has 2 plus and 2 minus's though? so what i did was put all 4 wires in different terminals on the amp one in each terminal.. if you no what im saying.. bcuz the amp shows it like this.. - - + +.... so i have the red wire from speaker #1 going to the + #1 on the amp and then the - going to - #1 on the amp.. and then i have speaker 2 going to + #2 on the amp and then - going to - #2 on the amp that is correct right???
or are you telling me to only use 2 out of 4 of the + and - terminals on the amp? like the 2 on the end? lik i had my duals?? that part confuses me a little.. please let me know asappp

I don't understand why a mono amp has 4 posts. Mono means one channel. One channel has one + and one -. You may need to reference your amps manual.

As for the box leaking air, you can't just slap a box together. As mentioned within the thread, the wood needs to be glued together. Also, each internal seem needs to be caulked. Damage to the woofers will occur if these steps are not taken.

Reading your manual.

The very first thing we need to do is be certain the amp is connected to the receiver correctly.

Second, the woofers connect like this.

One woofer connect to position 1 and 3.

The other connects to position 2 and 4.

This is the parallel connection for 2ohm.

I need to know the signal from your receiver.

i glued everything except the top bcuz i need to be able to take it off to get the speakers out to paint it.. ok well i have it on 1 and 4 and then 2 and 3 so ill have to fix that.. does that make it not 2 ohms the way i have it?

also this is my headunit if that what the reciever is..

i have the rca in the sub wires that stick out and the blue primary wire running to the back where the manual said to put it

I need to know what type of signal is connected to the amp.

If you are sending a stereo signal (r/l) into the amp, you need a 1f/2m Y adapter. You then use the left out of your receiver connected to the 1f of the Y adapter. Then, you connect it to the amp using the 2m.

What type of RCA connection do you have?
