Newbie question about home theater set up

One issue with both units is that there is no crossover setting that I could find. Both manuals need improvement.

If willing to spend the money on the SVS Soundbase, I’d consider a multichannel AVR for better settings concerning crossovers when using subwoofers.

There are models from Denon/Marantz, Integra/Onkyo/Pioneer and Yamaha that support Airplay 2 and some of those models will also support Amazon Music Unlimited UHD(Hi-Res) and Dolby Atmos streams from their own Amazon Music app. Using Airplay 2, Amazon Music streams will be limited to HD(Lossless 24/48 FLAC.)

Apple Music does not play nicely with anybody and Airplay 2 is used very often to get signals from Apple Music to AVRs. Hi-Res from Apple Music will work only when using a wired connection from an Apple device. Though, Lossless(16/44.1 ALAC) will still be available over Airplay 2

If using Airplay 2 from an iPad and not getting new speakers, I’d save the money and go with Wiim amps. You can simply use the Amazon Music and Apple Music iOS apps in the iPad and select the desired Airplay 2 speakers(Wiim amps) and adjust their volume levels independently within the apps.

There are many receiver and streaming service app options out there. Make sure the combinations of them work the way you want them to work when choosing them.
