Denon AVP-A1HDCI & POA-A1HDCI combo, + Denon AVR-5308ci A/V receiver.

Interested to see some pictures (internal & external) of the Denon AVP-A1HDCI Surround Processor with the Denon POA-A1HDCI Multichannel Power Amplifier combination? I thought so. :)

* http://www.areadvd.de/lm/AV_Hardware/test_denonavppoaa1hd.shtml

Note --> And don't forget to click on "zur Bildergalerie der A1-Kombi" (blue lettering) at the bottom left of the first page. And to access pages 2 and 3, just click on "weiter zu Seite 2 and 3", on the bottom right of each page (also blue lettering) .

And about some more on the AVP-A1HDCI by itself, on fine tuning, and rated a MASTERPIECE.

Finally, the Denon AVR-5308ci A/V Receiver (the AVC-A1HD in the UK).

Anyone else have someting they'll like to share?

Ok, what's happening here? Am I the only one that have something to post?

I am actually quite amazed by no response from anyone about all those fantastic links, full of great infomation, educative, technical, technological and very much invaluable for all members and non-members, right here, at Audioholics, from our HT Forums!

I want to have some great discussions here with this thread regarding all new, or old technology about our A/V Surround Receivers.

I just wish a bit more activity, that's all. :(

So, here we go, again... Here's a brand new fresh review (as of today),
of the Integra DTR-8.9 A/V receiver, from "Secrets of Home Theater and High Fidelity" web site.
By the way, the Integra DTR-8.9 is basically the equivalent of the Onkyo TX-SR876.

* http://www.hometheaterhifi.com/receivers/620-integra-dtr-89.html

And this one from the same website, about the Onkyo TX-NR906, also quite recent.
-> The onkyo TX-NR906 would be the equivalent of the Integra DTR-9.9 A/V receiver.

* http://www.hometheaterhifi.com/receivers/629-onkyo-tx-nr906-71-channel-home-network-receiver.html

Marantz SR9006 and Onkyo Pro PR-SC886P reviews & pictures.

-> Check this beauty out, from Marantz SR9600, an older A/V Receiver, but quite a feast. :)
And even if you don't speak German, you can still make out quite a few words and meanings.
And the pictures just speak thousand words.

* http://www.areadvd.de/hardware/2005/marantz_sr_9600_1.shtml

-> And I know that some people will be very much interested in this dissectation of the Onkyo Pro PR-SC886P (or the equivalent of the Integra DHC-9.9). ;)

<<< Extra-Extra-Extra>>>

Soon, the new Onkyo replacement 2009 models are coming for the SR706, SR806, SR876, NR906 and NR5000.
Their new replacements are the Onkyo TX-SR707, the Onkyo TX-NR807, the Onkyo TX-NR1007, the Onkyo TX-NR3007 and the Onkyo TX-NR5007.

I think that it will go like this:

...2008....vs.....2009....

TX-SR706 = TX-SR707
TX-SR806 = TX-NR807*
TX-SR876 = TX-NR1007*
TX-NR906* = TX-NR3007*
TX-NR5000* = TX-NR5007*

* NR = Network Receiver

I can't wait to see them. :) Probably starting this summer and going through the fall, with their releases (July through October).
Ouuuhhhaaahhh... :):):)

Stay tuned for the latest development right here, as soon as they come.

That Marantz SR 9600 has 100,000uF total capacitance, that's a hungry puppy.

The benchtest performance of that Rotel class D driven AVR is rather uninspiring other than consistant power ratings no matter how many channels driven (which isn't a sign of good news for dynamics). Didn't Harman Kardon kinda do something like that. Pioneer Elite must have done something a little differently.:D

That will be so cool if these reviews could easily be translated in English. :)

Wow! I did not know that the Marantz SR9600 had such capacitance!
Well, I own an older Marantz receiver, the SR-18 (10years old), but it is inactive (packed in his box). Anyway, guess how much capacitance it has?

Ya, that Rotel RSX-1560 even with it's strange bench tests, is awarded a red ticket of high recommendation! It must be doing something right.

Well, every manufacturer at one point or another did experiment with various methods of amplification. But nowadays, it's the energy savings that is driving the market across the globe.

* I feel sad for the devastating situation in Iran, and that beautiful young lady... Very sad indeed. :( I will send my prayers tonight for the suffering of the people.

Anyway Seth=L, I would enjoy this thread much more if there was more activity in great discussions and ideas about all these new technologies with HDMI and high res. audio, and the latest room EQ correction.
The Sherwood Newcastle R-972 is coming now for sure with the excellent Trinnov system. That will be quite a stear in the audio world.
Also, Outlaw Audio Model 997 is coming soon too with their new pre-pro with also Trinnov.
And Emotiva is shipping the UMC-1 at the end of the month.
Things are shaping out quite new Seth=L, there will be blood for sure. ;)

Anyway, time for me to go watch a blu-ray, The Big Lebowski perhaps?
Na, I just watch it couple nights ago. Maybe Ratatouille? Or Bolt?
I'll go check again what's out there in my collection.

Good night buddy,

Bob

Onkyo TX-NR807 & Onkyo TX-NR3007* (*TX-NR906 replacement) pictures.

* On my prior post (#86), I mentioned the Onkyo TX-NR5007. The 5007 is the replacement of the TX-NR5000, which is the European (UK) version from the US version, the TX-NR1000, an older model, but the biggest (17 1/8 x 8 3/4 x 19 inches) and heaviest (73 lbs) Onkyo has ever produced.
The Onkyo TX-NR1000 was retailing for $5,000 usd.

For some info (German) & some very nice pictures on the Onkyo TX-NR5000E, click on the link below:

AVR-MASTERTEST: Onkyo TX-NR906/Pioneer Elite SC-07/Sony STR-DA5400ES/Yamaha RX-V3900.

The BIG GUNS. :)

Here's a Master Test of some super high flying A/V Receivers.
In this Mega Test, you'll see first hand the reviews, with external and internal pictures of the Onkyo TX-NR906, the Pioneer Elite SC-07, the Sony STR-DA5400ES & the Yamaha RX-V3900.

Without any due delay, here it is:

* http://www.areadvd.de/hardware/2009/av_receiver_mastertest_1.shtml

~ And don't forget, there are several pages (six, to be exact).

Have fun (it's in German language). :D But who reads reviews nowadays anyway. :rolleyes:

Beats me! :confused: :rolleyes:

Ahhh... Got you now.

Ok, you want a Marantz 800 series? I'll give you a marantz SR8001 then. :D

Here it is, in it's full naked glory. I'm also sure that few of our members even own this magnificent A/V receiver. :) And check that toroidal transformer. ;)

* Marantz SR8001 > http://www.areadvd.de/hardware/2006/marantz_sr8001_1.shtml
>> There are two pages for this one.

So, this one should also be at the top, like the other ones.
It does get the same high score (Referenz) than the other ones from post #90.

So, let's recap now:

#1. Yamaha RX-V3900 -> Referenz (Reference) ********** (10 stars)
#2. Marantz SR8001 -> Referenz (Reference) ********* (9 stars)
#3. Onkyo TX-NR906 -> Uberragend (Excellent) ********* (9 stars)
#4. Pioneer Elite SC-07 -> Uberragend (Excellent) ********* (9 stars)
#5. Sony STR-DA5400ES -> Ausgezeichnet (Very Good) ******** (8 stars)

And I hope that you're happy. And if so, give me a sign. :cool

I hate not knowing capacitor values, I really do. It really ruins seeing the insides of a receiver and not knowing it's FRIGGIN CAP RATINGS ARE!

Ok then, don't freakin panick! You gonna give me a heart attack!

* The Yammy 3900 has two 18,000uF caps, duh.
* The Elite SC-07 has two 10,000uF caps, bouh.
* The Onkyo 906 has two 18,000uF caps, 90% sure only (needs true confirmation).
One thing for sure though, if it's not 18,000, then it's 15,000uF.
* The Marantz 8001 has two, is it 18,000, or 15,000, or could it be more? Not less though?
I'm just not sure, but I think it's 15,000uF (about 66% sure on that one).
* And the Sony 5400 has two (perhaps 15,000uF also?, about 49% sure here).

And why don't you do your own research? After all, you're the one crazy enough that want to really know, right?

Me, I'm just here and only here to report the facts, period!

Vincent SAV-C2 Pre-amp / SAV-P200 Power amp * Combination.

I know, it's not a Receiver. But if you put the two together, it comes close enough. :D
Add a Tuner, and you got yourself the perfect Receiver. :) :cool:

Anyway, I was reading in another thread or two, some questions about Vincent amps,
and some very good comments by some members.
So, I did some research about this brand that was unknown to me, until...
And what I found confirms the very good comments that I was reading.

Here's the review (German, of course, what you expect, after all, I'm LOTR ;) )
of the Vincent SAV-C2~SAV-P200 combo.
But there are pictures anyway. :)

Hope you enjoy, your humble post, ;) huh!... I mean host.

Yo, guys, wake up!

Where's everybody???

This is not a thread about a single poster, it's about discussions on Audio/ Video Receivers from the past to the present, and about all aspect regarding them. For that, it takes the participation of people.

So, please, I'm asking you very politely, participate by expressing your thoughts and opinions.

Like, what you guys think so far about these reviews and pictures
from that German site "Area DVD"?
And all the invaluable links that I provided for learning more on a bunch of related matters; articles, essays, reviews, web site's information, etc., etc., etc.?

Sincerely & Best regards,
