First and foremost - that woodwork looks awesome!

Second, after following your hard work on this, and seeing all of the equipment and cables in that last photo - I get why people choose sound bars. :)

Don't act like you know my wiring woes. It's a mental condition that drives me to want it all neat and sh!t. Kinda like you and your rug. I mean I get spools of Velcro from work. I know you've seen wires before but I'll show you more later ... either in this thread or the next. Here we are ... somewhere past noon. Most of the day shot here. You are a bad influence.

Nice!
I guess you could add a small length of sash chain to hold it open a few inches.
That's if you don't want it completely opened.

I end up laying on that door to change wires around. There not gonna be any kinda shashaying of any doors but I appreciate you wanting it to have some flair. :D

Nothing permanent.
Something along the lines of a safety chain on a door, that can be unhooked.

I'm clearly missing why you would want that. The floor works as a great and stable stop. Maybe if it had a folding linkage but the dangling chain is definitely a no go and my floor is already bought and paid for plus the installation is done.

But I still feel like I must be missing something.

I think that the chain (or any other mechanism to hold it open a couple of inches) would just make it so that you could get more ventilation without having the door stick out into your room (to trip over or show off all your wiring handiwork :)). Just my guess.

I see now. I thought he meant a few inches off the floor not open a few inches. I envisioned something like what holds a tail gate open.

Exactly!
You sir are a visionary. :D

Hope Alex didn't take anything as a criticism...:)
When I saw the door fully opened I assumed it was for cooling purposes, and thought of a chain of some type to hold it ajar.
(my mistake) it was probably opened for wire access.

I'm waiting on the living room side photos...slick walls painted up real nice with Money for Nothing playing over a carefully dialed in system. I'll stop back later.

When I get so sensitive that I can't communicate I'll just switch to the plus size pad. :D

I sanded out that room and am about to put either green food coloring or blue chalk in the remainder of my mud and then it's all over but the crying. Good has officially been introduced to enough and now it's time for ...

I've had my color palate put together for years. It's funny but that was the first thing I did and just recently Cheryl started in with wanting a brighter red. I was like NFW but whatever you say dear but notice how the original choice works with EVERYTHING ?!? I actually ended up taping the color swatches to a SongTower and that made her relent. I want that wall dark as the display is on it.

Even Cheryl was busting my balls about even caring what color it was so I'm ready with fresh FU's for all those about to bring my masculinity into question over this. :p
