I voted for more finishes. Helps with the dreaded wife acceptance factor.

stf-2: 3 selections

i selected bookshelf speakers - if these guys made matching speakers, i may not have bought the axiom m22 models....

i also selected slimmer profile subwoofer - i live in boston in a city apartment and space is always at a premiuim - i know if is tough to balance great sound with a small footprint, but any innovations are welcome

finally i chose miscellaneous - think that the pricing - suggested retail of $499 vs "yours for $399" make Hsu seem prmotional, rather than high quality. if your price is $400, be clear and maintain price integrity. otherwise, you become more and more like cambridge soundworks........

Hsu survey

Additional wood veneer choices like cherry, bird's eye maple, ash, rosewood, piano black
For most, this is probably not a make or break issue in their purchasing decision. However, having more choices would probably be appreciated by nearly everyone.
For me, it's piano black.

Bookshelf type speakers
The reputation of the current product line suggests that bookshelf type speakers would also be high quality, high performance.

DSP technology
Incorporation of any technology that can improve the listener's experience is a good thing.

edit: Just thought of one other thing (OK you only wanted 3, but I can't help myself). How about making the 5 year warranty standard for the electronics?

would like to see
1. Additional amplifier features
2. Additional wood veneer choices like cherry, bird's eye maple, ash, rosewood, piano black
3. Slimmer profile subwoofer model

slimline sub would be a nice fit for some living rooms and family rooms, and a sub to match the furniture would be even better!

I chose:
Additional wood veneer choices.
Cherry, Bird's eye maple, and piano black would be nice.

Bookshelf type speakers. If you can make some speakers that match the subs you make, that would be very interesting.

Misc.
I would actually opt to choose less amplifier features. Less bells and whistles, less gadgetry and more money into the parts that matter. Woof Woof. I know its common to have the option to put all speakers through the sub and use the sub's crossover... but since I'm buying a high end sub for a high end receiver, this is wasted. I would rather see the cost savings or the money go into other components of the sub.

My humble, newbie opinion.

I think more veneer choices would allow the subs to fit into a wider variety of home environments. Black is nice, but wood finishes look great. I can understand it costing more.

I'm not really sure what DSP technology refers to. DSPs are a generic class of chips that could be used for anything. So, I guess better processing features of some sort is good? Maybe? Could be?

Lastly, I think more bottom-hugging subs would be great. I'd like to see subs that can go even lower.

They mean built in room PEQ capability via DSP, meaning it automatically adjusts to best suit your room.

Subs that go even lower than what?

Lower than the floor.

I chose veneer options and bookshelf speakers. I think a subwoofer company could make a good bookshelf HT surround package, perhaps designed, say, for excellent performance with 80Hz crossover all around.

Know what I want more than anything? More in-wall/ceiling subs. Stuff that can be hidden away and still sound good - but how about a reasonable price tag? It seems like to get any in-wall subs you are paying through the nose, then they have so-so design and don't ship with an amplifier. How about a complete amplifier + sub for $500 or so that can be fit into a wall or ceiling and actually sound halfway decent?

That would really work for me.

1. More amp features would be nice. Some type of built in eq comes to mind.

2. I would certainly like to see Hsu come out with a bookshelf speaker. Already having the VT 12s I could only imagine how good they would sound.

3. Then I chose DPS technology, this seems to be the wave of the future as far as subs are concerned.

I've seen what HSU can do with wood veneer. BEAUTIFUL!
I'd love to see what they could do with birdseye maple.

As far as a more compact size.....Heck, I want an even bigger, badder sub than the VTF-3HO! Just think, two 12" drivers. (or a 15" VTF)

Bookshelves speakers to match HSU subs would be a wonderful thing, to people who wants matching sets, or just to experience the HSU quality products.

Slimmer profile speakers/subs without a performance hit would be great, and come in handy for space cautious consumers.

Additional amplifier options would suit more people's needs, say they might produce a different signature, or improve the already high performing amps.

I went with the additional veneer, cause you can never have too many choices. I also think DSP would be good.

Bookshelf speakers for me

I think that it is a huge plus to offer a complete set of matching products. Then maybe they would be in the running for some of the systems I recomend and install.

Powers that Be

Being not the ultimate power in deciding what gets purchased or placed in the living room i chose:

Slimmer Profile (Subs always being the thing that just seems to stand out the most with the least apparent function{to those uneducated or uninsane in our hobby})

Finish Options: Goes along with the above in that the more options you have to make something disappear the more chance you have of getting it into the living room unseen

DSP: Setting up a Sub is not the easiest thing in the world...great subs sound bad in wrong places or with wrong settings....I see nothing wrong with making it sound as good as possible with ease of use.

Different finish options are always nice. Aside from the standard option colors, a variety of veneer finishes make for nice change.

DSP thats not to much of an effect, but subtle correction to compensate for bad rooms--because not everyone has a perfect treated room to work with.

For me, size/dimension is not an issue. However, Im not yet attached to anyone, so WAF is not a consideration. For most though, this is of great concern. Smaller, more powerful subs with a small and inconspicuous footprint is paramount.

Pick Me Need A Sub

I think HSU should expand there sub line with more choices. Dual driver subs would be a nice thing to see them offer.

Finish Options are always a good choice with WAF.

Nothing sub about subs

I would like the option of a non finish wood grain so that I could stain to match other items in my room
