Guys, I just got done watching the "Bucket List" and I have to admit I was very surprised. Lately, I have had some extra time to watch movies. The reason being-my hours have been cut back due to the slowing economy. Not sure why, but this movie realy brought out the tears in me. Perhaps it is due to my Mom recently being diagnosed with Lung Cancer. This movie featured both Jack Nichlason and Morgan Freeman which are very talented and well-seasoned actors. In fact, Morgan Freeman is one my favorites second only to Samual L. Jackson. For those interested, this is a must see if you like Rob Reiner. Kudos to him on such a great film.

When I saw Return of the King, as the story wound down, I heard what I initially thought was laughing behind me. It turned out that 6 people, 3 couples, were all weeping loudly with profuse tears running down their faces...all 6 of them. I never saw so many adults doing that before.

This. It can be a terrible movie, if the dog dies, chances are I will be crying, I just can't help it. I tend to avoid movies with dogs in them for this reason alone.

At the end of the movie Serenity, River had just slatered all the reevers and the military walked in. She tightened her grip on some axe looking thing just as a drop of blood dripped off the blade. For some reason, that always makes me tear up.

The entire final third of the movie is pretty much a continual kick in the gut, but the spoiler-texted scene you mention really is...just plain desolate. It's damn hard to watch.

added by edit: I checked to see if "desolate" was really the word I wanted, so checked a definition: "in a state of bleak and dismal emptiness". Yeah, that's pretty much it.

It's hard to be anything but teary through most of The Road, possibly the most depressing movie ever made. You'd have to be completely stone hearted to not get moist at the end.

When we were at the Audioholics GTG in Orlando there was a demo room that had a projector with a sliding lens in front of it. (I forget the company)
They had about 18 seats setup and were showing Transformers. My wife and I sat behind a father and son that were in the first row. It got to a sad part in the movie and I notice the father was crying. I nudged my wife and we bolted, since we were the only four people in there it would've been a little embarrassing when he started really blubbering. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
