But I am still hoping that it's just a new firmware update, although the chances are slim to none!

Click to expand... 17 more days will seem forever! If it can internally decode DTS-HD MA, it will be the first on the market! The upcoming Samsung & Sony/Sony ES BD models cannot decode DTS-HD MA internally! They are so slow. I don't even think the Sony models will send DTS-MA bitstream. Man, they stink!
