Only if you bought T3 already. It will be on Blu-ray with a TrueHD and PCM track before the end of Q2/08 (if not by this Christmas)
That's not fair!
Now I must also buy T3 on blu-ray and watch it twice---once in TrueHD & once in PCM.:D

Why? It wasn't exactly a good movie...not really something I would sit through again.
I was kidding!:D

Now if it had DTS-HD MA, then I would have absolutely no choice but to buy. NOT!:)

Looks like the new Panny is starting to show up on websites, but with ZERO details yet.

ONe says $599 the other says $499.

I am much more inclined to think the MSRP will be $499 max as the last model was MSRP $599.

I am dying to see specs on this.

Me too!

It sure LOOKS exactly like the DMP-BD10!!!
If they installed a completely new decoding chip, then I'm screwed & gotta buy the DMP-BD30K.
But I am still hoping that it's just a new firmware update, although the chances are slim to none!

Okay I got a little more news for you - Panasonic will be announcing the player on October 30th, but unfortunately I am not privvy to any specs, so 17 more days to go.

17 more days will seem forever!
If it can internally decode DTS-HD MA, it will be the first on the market!

The upcoming Samsung & Sony/Sony ES BD models cannot decode DTS-HD MA internally! They are so slow. I don't even think the Sony models will send DTS-MA bitstream. Man, they stink!

Forum member "TAU" at AVS has posted the preliminary specs on the DMP-BD30K....and it looks good.
HDMI 1.3b, Profile 1.1, dts-HD bitstream.
We'll have to wait another few days for the full press release though.

Hmmm. The DMP-BD30K says "DTS-HD", which is not the same thing as DTS-HD MA.
The current DMP-BD10A already has "DTS-HD", which means "DTS-HD HR" in the FINE PRINT.

So far the only 4 HD players I know of that will have DTS-HD MA Internal Decoding include the Samsung BD-UP5000 Combo, Denon BD, Marantz BD, & Onkyo HD DVD.
