Hmm, looks like “Sound of Music” has been remastered in 4K Digital (from 70mm) and will be released on 4K UHD later this year in 2025.

I've been seeing lots of "coming soon" 4k remasters. It would be great if they come out in 2025, but my guess is a handful will fall over into 2026.

I've got the Sean Connery Bond 4k steelbook coming very soon. They're all on 100gig discs. Size wise they're all over 80gigs with 1 or 2 over 90gigs. Bit rates should be pretty darn good.

Last weekend I watched the new 4k edition of the movie Sneakers from the early 90's. That was on 100gig disc and the bit rates were coming in at 99mb/s. Crazy!!! You don't even get that on new releases. That's why I love boutique brands. They do a wonderful job doing 4k remasters. :)

I was happy to see that one in UHD. Sadly, I didn't find it to be a particularly impressive 4k. Still great movie though, and still surely the best version to watch.

The sound of WICK music :D

Watched Wick is Pain, the story of how the John Wick series came about. VERY interesting. Mostly Stahelski and Keanu talking about so much behind the scenes. Is on AppleTV+ and Prime (still rental, not sure if it is free anywhere yet).
