What Cables besides HDMI are necessary?

Just a side note - Test your HDMI cable if you can, before you close up the wall. I've seen defective ones, and you'll want to find out sooner than later if it's not working...

Ok Its time to get A LCD TV what to get?

Panasonic Plasma - I have a PZ800U that I like. For LCD, you can deal with TOC, then the Samsung 6 series. Get a big TV... Really big.

which speaker is good on classical music?

Hey 3db - This is one of the big reasons why I think the Ohms are so incredible - the tweeter is really a super-tweeter, and doesn't come into play until around 8k (the xover is just a very simple lo pass filter). The original Ohms had full range drivers, but over time, a tweeter and ports...

which speaker is good on classical music?

I think Chris is sort of on the right track. I haven't heard the Morrison Audio speakers, but I can recommend Ohm MicroWalsh Talls (I own a pair). These are going to be a lot easier to place, because they're not true omni-directional speakers (they don't radiate 360 degrees - but almost)...

    Loud Commercials make me MAD!

That's exactly what happens... The whole mix is just slammed with compression/limiter, and it doesn't budge. Some mixers are more cut throat than others - it's also in the EQ - a lot of commercial mixers haven't worked on albums much, so that mixing subtlety isn't there. A guy that I like to...

    Denon Amp verses Bryston

I've seen countless Bryston amps in recording studios over the years. Some quite old, putting in hour after hour of service - they're great amplifiers. Actually, Bryston takes their specs very seriously - a signed sheet of the specs is included with the 20 Year warrantee card with every amp...

    better stereo vs lesser surround.

I always look at it this way: These days, if you have a nice hi-rez TV, you should match it with some nice, hi-rez audio gear. If the dali's are what you have your heart set on, then get 'em, quality over quantity..

    Too much bass?

I listen on studio monitors everyday at work, so it took me a while to get accustomed to floorstanders too... Now I'm at the point where I don't think I'd ever want monitors at home again...

    Speakers Opinions

Depending on how large your room is, check out Ohm MicroWalsh Talls. I mention them mainly because of your mention of mid-range - they truly excel there - no crossover in the mids. Perfect small-footprint speakers for 2 channel music/movies. I know all about integrating speakers with the...
