Simple. To review exotic cables is to imply that they make a difference. This completely undermines the magazine's credibility.

I felt betrayed the day that the American people re-elected the shrub, in spite of the obvious damage that he caused in his first term. If there had been a time when I wanted to be involved in politics previously, that would have ended it. Suddenly, it felt like living in a foreign country.

Nobody could be worse than the idiot we have now. Even some random bum off the street would be an improvement. Which democrat wins is not as important as getting rid of the republican administration (and lets go for a democratic congress also, while we're at it.:))

One of the reasons my Cambridge Audio speakers are so excellent is that the drivers were designed by them from the ground up. No off-the-shelf components here.

If a magazine contains a review of an exotic cable or a component rack, I cannot take anything else they say seriously, either.:rolleyes: These days, that pretty much rules them all out.

People are buying them for the mileage. The problem is that my old Subaru Justy got better mileage for less money, had more interior room, and didn't look any worse.

If we were discussing a situation in which a wrong decision would be costly, that might be worthwhile. It is too much effort merely to confirm or deny a simple observation about something I already own.

The Plateaus (the better sounding ones) are about an inch shorter. This places the tweeters slightly below ear level, while the Omnimounts place them exacly at ear level. Both the risers and the bases are about 4 or 5 times heavier on the Plateaus.

Under no circumstances could any speakers wired by me be out of phase.:rolleyes: That is a noobie mistake, and stereo has been my hobby for decades.
