I think DenPureSound has hit that spiked eggnog a little too much
You retired guys have the leisure to do that. I have to work this weekend, so no spiked eggnog for me.

I wish I had a separator, ya bringing over some? That is what makes PureSound in the PsychoAcoustics Domain :)

Glad I am not moving Salon 2's around up front, 65#'s per box is Plenty for this Old Guy! :D

When I sold my BP7000 speakers, I weighted each box @ 190lbs each.

Then I told myself I wouldn't buy anything > 100 lbs. The Orion is about 65lbs.

But then developed amnesia and bought the Salon2. :D

I'm glad the Philharmonic 3 is under 100 lbs. :D

Send me your address and I will put them in the mail,

Speaking of moving speakers, Phil's are not that light either at 60lbs each, I'm going to use those sliders until I find the right distance/location. The wife has already mentioned I scratch her pretty custom wood floor, in her own words of wisdom, my pretty speakers will have 40cal holes in them:eek:

Well, they're more like 85 lbs each. At least that's what FedEx says.

:eek: After I got your email noting 60lb bare weight I felt somewhat eager to order a pair. That 85 must be total shipping weight including packaging. Moving 85lb upstairs twice will be a chore.

Well, they come in two boxes per side, so you wouldn't have to deal with a full 85 lbs. Maybe 60 bare weight for the woofer cabinet. If you don't have help, the easiest way to get them up a flight of stairs is to leave the bottom cabinet in the shipping box and tip it end over end up the stairs. I've done it many times.

There is a reason I never buy a house with stairs. Too much work. Too much energy.:D

not if you have a herniated disc.
I always suspected that folks with back problems were no longer human.

:D

J/K! I used to have lower back issues, and I know where you're coming from. Know anybody that will help you move them for some beer, or $20? :)

Anyone that helps me move furniture I usually share some smooth Irish Whiskey or a few fine Chimay Blue's a nice Belgian Ale. So the 80lbs of speakers up the two flights of stairs should require more than a few...PS, I stopped being human (people that must / have to work :D) when I retired from Bell Labs and AT&T/Lucent after 37 + years.

If I were DenPureSound and psbfan, I would get two Philharmonic 2 in satin black + two Rythmik FV12 subs.....After I get my Philharmonic 3 speakers, of course. :D

BTW, you get the matching Philharmonic 1 bookshelf speakers for $400 each (center+surrounds).

As for PENG, I would get the Synchrony One since we don't really have the measurements for the Paradigm S6 latest version. There is no guarantee that the S6 will measure as well as the S8 or Synchrony One. :D

But I listed Two different models just for you... :)

Which Model Salk = ?? :D

Geez, I spent all that time putting the list together, and I did not even get a THANKS, of course, except for ADTG. :(
I didn't see my own build on the list. :p Of course I suppose it has to be finished first.

I am waiting on your PHIL 3's there, and your Critical Review of them up against your Salon 2's... on the fence again.

Me to, as soon he stops drooling all over the speakers once they get in, hopefully he can provide us an honest review in a week or two..

I'm afraid his custom high gloss cabinets are going to take awhile to finish. With the holidays and Philharmonic shutting down for a week starting the
21st, I can't promise shipping them until at least a week into the New Year. It's going to be a very busy December.

I think ADTG is going to have a late XMas gift, but will be worth the wait.

Then we might get a review of the Phil 3's, Salon2's, KEF Ref. 201/2, and Linkwitz Orions all in ONE big writeup.

Just think, DM your going up against the Salon 2's with Six Drivers and about twice the weight per box, WatchOut, LOL... :):D Oh, they are just a little bit more change also... thought I should emphasize that one!!

I would be scared to put the VGT's up against a DM Phil w/ that RAAL and Planar and 8" Woof w/ 4th order LR's to boot, and about 5 cu. ft. of volume!
