Seriously, I have no life.
... The wife fell asleep.
Boy, she is a good sleeper.;):D

... I just wanted to see it in 2-D but both theaters in me were only showing it in 3-D. I don't know if it was the 3-D or the theater, but the movie was VERY dark. It was hard to see things at times. Watching the commercials on TV looks much better than what we saw in the theater.
...
It must have been the 3D presentation then.

I saw it tonight and armed with the right amount of not-real-high expectations, I ended up enjoying Tron Legacy. As I said to one of the people in the car on the way home who said, "what did you think?", my response is that as long as I don't think about it too much, what I saw was pretty good. The eye candy, good FX and plenty of loud noises and 3D FX was entertaining. Yeah, the plot was, years ago, guy gets sucked into a video game and years later his son gets sucked into the same game, meets a girl (the high forehead doctor on House, in glowing leathers) and lots of action ensues. Throw in an evil/misguided counterpart and you have lots of opportunity for cool visuals. Good enough for Disney.

I thought it was ok. The wife fell asleep. I just wanted to see it in 2-D but both theaters in me were only showing it in 3-D. Anyway, I'd give it a B-. It wasn't great, but it didn't suck. The CG Jeff Bridges was a little weird, but overall looked pretty realistic.
I removed the imax googles during the 2d scenes and they were looking good; Unlike Avatar which compensated in additional brightness to overcome this problem, Tron editors didn't seem to care enough to fix it.
The visuals were quite good, on par or better than my expectations and 3d effects were good too.
Jeff was tottaly the Dude again - "You're ruining my zen" and about 10 times he said "Man"
This movies is a solid 7/10 for FX and sound - Daft Punk really rock !!!
Must watch on the biggest screen you could find, but don't expect any Oscars for screenplay or acting :p

Just Redboxed this one on DVD since I am on travel and I liked it a lot also. It definitely has flaws, but was overall pretty good and more or less fits with the original. Can't wait to check out the audio on BD :) Will be ordering or picking up the 5 disc set.

Just watched it and it was pretty good overall. Titanic subs got a real workout for sure. There was some ground shaking stuff. Visuals were impressive. This is what CGI was meant for not dances with smurfs. This director had vision while Camaroon is a just a shell of his former director self.

I just finished watching it as well, very good movie overall and the BD has great visual/sound. I'd say a must see for anyone that liked the original.

I bought the BD's yesterday and I gotta say I liked it a lot more the second time around. We saw it in 3-D at the theater and the presentation was really bad. The picture was very dark so a lot of times it was hard to tell what was going on. But more than that I even liked the story better the second time. Also, Daft Punk's soundtrack is awesome.

The part where Sam first gets pulled into the digital world had some CRAZY bass! I swear my 15" sub must have had about 3" of excursion!

Someone posted some clips of the Daft Punk tracks and I wasn't really impressed with them, but the way they were integrated into the film istelf was very well done.

I watched the Bluray of Tron Legacy yesterday WOW what a Great audio/video disc. Anytime I want to demo my HT System I will play this Bluray.
Awsome audio and video, I was suprided how good the surround seperation is. My subs worked overtime :) I wish all Blurays sounded this good.

Today I watched the the 1983 Tron on our Verizon FIOS HD and the video was cartoon like(compaired to the new Legacy) but the 5.1 audio was better then I thought it would be for such a old movie. Odd I never watched the orginal back then, I was too busy with work and the kids back then.

Never saw the original... don't think I'll bother with this one either.
That's a mistake.

Olivia Wilde was HOT!
Yes.

(the high forehead doctor on House, in glowing leathers)
I might get around to looking at her forehead once I'm done imagining her ****. :D

I did the Blu-ray thing but I only get regular DTS in a matrixed 7.1 configuration. It was still awesome sound wise. Story wise ... forget the story. The film was definitely worth seeing. I'm going back to imagining that girl's ****. :)

I like the chick that played Gem better.

Funny thing, I normally don't like chicks with short hair, but I actually prefer Olivia Wilde's bob in Tron to her with long hair. Maybe because I don't watch house and had no idea who she was until Tron came out.

At times the movie was slow, but over all a good movie. Question is, Is Tron still alive????

Good question. I was expecting him to come back at the end and save Flynn. His color did change back to blue so who knows?
