I don't have much hope for it. The 1500 dollar twin 8" B&W PV1 hits 25Hz at 86dB, with around 80% THD. At 40Hz, it can do 95dB at 20% THD.
I am going to guess the much lower priced single driver 8" sub from them is going to have not better performance.
On the other hand, even my eco option mini 8" sub using the stock Dayton amp and cab with a new port, would easily do 100+ dB, 46Hz on up, (around 96dB at 40Hz, estimated from port limitations) with less than 20-30% THD at the lowest frequency. Or the more costly option using the larger amp and 1 cubic foot cab, could do 104-106dB, 37Hz on up. The driver I recommended is far superior, not slightly superior.
