I've been following your Amazon.com ordeal with the flat panel. I really feel bad for you. Has there been any progress in the situation? Is there an ETA?
Thanks! I appreciate that.
They shipped out a replacement that is scheduled to arrive next Thursday. If it's like last time, it won't get to the local delivery company until Thursday, and then I'll need to schedule a delivery time.
Amazon really hasn't been bad about this, but they did at least one thing that upset me. They shipped the replacement before I said that I wanted one - I wanted to discuss getting Saturday delivery (so no time off from work) and a different delivery company before signing up to do this again. Had they told me that they were going to ship me the same model, regular shipping (so it would take over a week), with the same delivery company (that I don't want in my house, and that doesn't deliver on the weekends), then I probably would have politely asked for a refund and bought it down the street at Best Buy. My e-mail to them was pretty clear about what I wanted (I thought, but maybe not), and I felt like I lost control over my purchase when they shipped the replacement out without my okay.
It's been surprising to me that they are taking about 46 hours on average to respond. They normally respond within 8 hours. Heck, if I have a shipment of groceries arrive damaged, they have another package on it's way the next day. TVs must go through a different department.
