I highly recommend it:D My x told me once, you know if we got back together you wouldn't have to pay anymore and my response was you cant put a price on happiness:p. Talk about the evil eye, it makes me smile to this day when I think about the expression on her face :D
You now, we should probably start a new tread called "Killer quotes targeted at your X", However, I fear that thread would be quickly closed, and I'm speaking of experience from this forum ;)

Nice setup there Halon....

Ya know, if you guys would have taken the Blue pill you would have an X..

I'm not totally sure why some people feel the need to get married.....
There are far less people that should get married then that do... :)

Thanks Warpdrv - I really need to get around to getting that Panny 50" I've had my eyes on. Might be a bit big for the distance to the couch, but who the hell cares - not me. :D Plus, eventually we'll upgrade to a bigger house anyway. Spare room for dedicated HT perhaps? Game on.

Wow, very very nice Halon. I really like your coffee table btw. Is that marble? The SVS speakers sure look quite nice. Hey, what kind of camera are you using if you don't mind me asking? Keep up the good work.

Cheers,

Phil

Nooooo, sir. :) 'Tis only marble laminate on standard particle board construction. I bought it several years ago when I was in school - it does look nice enough, so we've kept it around for the time being. It's sturdy and keeps with the decor of the room for now. The end tables are the matching set, and used to have the matching sofa and loveseat, but got rid of those a few years ago.

It was my wife's camera - I think it's a Kodak; I should know this, as I bought it for her for Christmas! :D

Thanks Halon. That camera sure does take good pictures. I also agree that your coffee table is very nice looking. With your end tables matching that makes it even better. Keep up the good work.

Cheers,

Phil

Well, it took a while, but I pulled the trigger on a new TV finally - I'll post some pics shortly! :D All I can say is it's great to finally join the HD realm, and I can't fathom why I've put it off for this long... :p

Gracias amigos. I posted a new thread in the 'TV/Displays' section, as it turns out the Panny doesn't come with a VGA input, which I would like to connect my PC to (basically DVI output from PC to HDMI input on TV). I know it works, because I've done it already, but didn't know if this would do anything nefarious to the TV itself... it's an investment after all, and I would like to protect said investment!! :D

DVI to HDMI shouldn't be any problems? isn't that quite straightforward?
I think there's a very good reason there not being an "old" analog VGA input, it's just not good enough for this kind of monitor.....

Yeah, it's what I figured - it is extremely straightforward and works very well, although I'm having some issues with over-scan at some resolutions that the TV ought to be able to support. Read my thread in the 'Displays' section and tell me what you think.
