I used to like Spree too, but not really anymore. I still eat SweetTarts all the time though, when I need a little flavor. The giant chewy ones every once in a while too...

True Kettle Korn is literally made in a kettle of sorts, basically just a big hot tub and they put both sugar and salt in there as the corn pops (with whatever fatty agent to get it sizzling such as butter). It is as simple as that. The stuff they have at the theater is Orville Reddinbacher, but it isn't like the microwave stuff by a long shot. The microwave stuff isn't that good because you don't get any of that "crisp" of the sugar/salt mixture that you get from air or microwave popping. The sugar doesn't caramelize, it just sort of melts and sticks, becoming a semi-coating, so while it does taste similar to caramel corn, the salt ads an extra fun factor
