OLED is still LED and potentially can suffer from the same issue. The difference is on an OLED, the pixels are emitting the color and light at the same time vs. LED backlit, which the color and backlight are separate. That is where LED backlit TVs suffer, not just a pixel, but delamination of the two layers, which can lead to a large number of issues. A dead pixel won't typically cause a problem, but you WILL notice even a single one if it is in the main viewing area.
My QLED is now 6 years old and looks just like the day I bought it, but it was one below the top model at the time. Tom's Hardware reviewed this model and said it tested better than Samsung's flagship.
