LOL!!! Very funny indeed. I find low frequency, high volume bass to have a very nice numbing effect.

I should check in with my own thread more often - new posts regarding my humble little setup!

Mike - I hear ya loud and clear bud, about the dual PB12's. I'm going to wait until we sell the house, we're looking to upgrade to a bigger home within the next couple of years - for what it's worth, the single PB12 hardly breaks a sweat as it's rattling the windows as it is. Watching the movie Cloverfield a couple weekends ago, the dog nearly came unglued from all the low end shaking and rumbling taking place in the house!

Then again, if I come across a deal I can't pass up in the meantime......

Now that's funny... You don't know how true it is too, I think she already has the new candle holders picked out. Weird that somehow, my new receiver just keeps getting pushed back on the priority list... and I can't for the life of me recall just when the balance of power shifted in my home.

The JBL's? Eh, I used to have the entire compliment of the Venue series, got rid of all but the rears. I do not like them, but for the rears they're fine for now - got other equipment to upgrade.... after the candle holders....

I probably let her hit me with some new candle holders instead of always playing tackle football when something new arrives.

I highly recommend it My x told me once, you know if we got back together you wouldn't have to pay anymore and my response was you cant put a price on happiness. Talk about the evil eye, it makes me smile to this day when I think about the expression on her face

Mine's slowly coming around, but it will be a long while before she's excited about new gear as I am. Since owning the sub I have now, she has definitely learned to appreciate it's power during movies and certain music tracks, during those rumbling moments. Then again, maybe she's enjoying it for a slightly different reason...

That's a good soundtrack, but I've put better through the system. Um.... still fresh on my mind is Cloverfield with its suprisingly fantastic LFE track. Transformers was also very good, and off the beaten path of good "Sub Test" movies, was Oceans 13, the part when they began drilling underground with that big machine - holy cow. I thought the house was going to fall down.
